The best to do this.
Tunu is truly one of the kindest, loveliest, most patient, and most intelligent people I have met. If that isn’t enough, they way she runs her business is just as fantastic—they will answer your every question and concern, work around any issue or additional request you may have, and ensure you have a comfortable and fun time in Tanzania during and after your tour with them. When I go back in this beautiful country, I will book my tours only with Big Mama Safari.

Friendly and professional, customer focused
Day was stunning from start to finish, transfer lovely, guided at airport to where we needed to be, meet at park very welcoming, despite mechanical hitch with vehicle, another there straight away.
Rest of the day, beyond words for us all. Guide/s were fab and respectful of not crowding animals too much, respected our desire to move on rather than join the crowding. All went a bit mad when lions spotted sleeping, not comfortable for us with all vehicles crossing round so much but we left and then returned bit later.
Lunch was lovely, good amount food and drink and quiet location.
Majority of day felt like it was just us in the Park. Fantastic encounters (most of not all animals ticked off) and time just sat watching them. Our desires to move on our stop, wait, watch again respected, felt totally like it tour.
A lot of time felt like it was just us out there.
Delayed flight back, which was obviously good for us being out in park longer.
No Safari experience to compare to but any in future will have a lot to live up to😁
So all in all a massive 🤩 thankyou 🤩 to you and those involved on making this experience amazing for us

Big mamma safari replied immediately to any query I had. Payment transaction was quick and smooth. We were picked up on time and transfers were easy Transport at Mikumi was comfortable and driver great. We landed right in the game park.
We saw so many animals and spent over 7 hours in the game park

Materuni Waterfalls
We absolutely loved the Materuni Waterfalls tour! Our guide John was amazing — not only did he make the whole experience really enjoyable, but he also went above and beyond by helping us solve an issue we had with our luggage. The village visit was also a highlight: the coffee-making explanation was super interesting, and the local guide there was incredible as well. Highly recommended!

Wonderful
All transportations, including hotel pick-up and flight to Selous were perfect. All were nice and helpful. The Safari was incredibly emotional, with close sightings of all savana animas, including lions and hyenas! The guide was excellent in finding the best spots. Expect a lot of dust and bumpy roads, but these are part of the Safari experience. Also, be patient for the flight back, as 1-2 hours delays happen. Five stars.

I had the most beautiful experience with Big Mama Safari during my recent trip to Tanzania. I joined a 4-day safari with them — two days in the Serengeti, one day in the Ngorongoro Crater, and one day in Tarangire — and everything was absolutely perfect from beginning to end.
What truly made the difference was the incredible care and kindness of the Big Mama Safari team. They were not only professional and well-organized, but also genuinely sweet and thoughtful. They paid attention to every detail and went far beyond what I expected to make sure I was comfortable and happy at all times.
Due to some issues with missed flights and last-minute changes, I arrived later than planned, and they helped me reorganize transfers and schedules so I wouldn’t miss the safari. I honestly don’t know how I would’ve managed it all without their help. I felt completely supported and cared for throughout the whole process — not just as a client, but almost like family.
The safari itself was magical: the landscapes, the wildlife, and the peaceful moments in nature are things I will never forget. A huge part of that was thanks to our incredible guide, Nestory, who made every moment special with his knowledge, patience, and passion for nature. He truly made the experience unforgettable.
I wholeheartedly recommend Big Mama Safari to anyone looking for a meaningful and well-supported safari experience in Tanzania. Thank you so much for everything!

Frim the first moment we were warmly welcomed by Big Mama. We had an incredible experience. The driver (Simba) was very knowledgable and spotted animals from faaar away. The food was freshly cooked and really lovely! The lodges were beautiful :)

caring and friendly
Everything was great from the start. Our flight was canceled, and we had to postpone the safari by a day, which was absolutely no problem. We received immediate help and were even offered the opportunity to speak with the people at the airport to find an alternative flight to Zanzibar. We were picked up, given a packing plan, and they took the time to come to our accommodation to give us a briefing for the safari. Our guide Godlisten was absolutely fantastic. He made an effort to show us everything, answered questions, and explained a lot to us. He always made sure we had time to take pictures and always asked questions before leaving. Generally, they always made sure everything was okay. He was super friendly, and we laughed a lot together. It was definitely worth the money. :)
