Very high quality
5/5

I went on an individually designed trip of 6 days, and managed to visit 3 national parks, as well as the urban eco-park in Kigali and some other stops on the way, including Gashora swamp. It was my first time in Rwanda, and so, of the over 240 bird species I saw, almost all were new to me. My guide Alex was extremely knowledgeable both for identifying the birds and for explaining their behaviour. Extremely highly recommended!

Best Uganda Safari Ever – Davis & Wide Birding Eco Tours Delivered a Dream Trip! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
5/5

Just back from an unforgettable 9-day/8-night adventure with Wide Birding Eco Tours, and it was hands-down the highlight of my travels in Uganda! Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. As a mix of local and international travelers, we wanted a balanced wildlife/birding safari with gorilla and chimp trekking—and this itinerary nailed it perfectly, at a fair and transparent price.
Our guide, Davis, was the star of the show. His expertise shone through every day: incredible bird knowledge (we spotted so many colorful species and rarities across diverse habitats), uncanny timing for animal appearances, and genuine passion that made every drive exciting. He was punctual, honest, super flexible (adapting seamlessly to our requested changes), and always put our interests first. Davis's deep craft knowledge ensured maximum sightings without rushing. 🦍🦅🦁🦓🐗🐊🐃🐘🦏🐒🦒

The itinerary was packed but well-paced: powerful Murchison Falls (top-of-falls views + Nile boat cruise), thrilling chimp tracking in Kibale, game drives and Kazinga Channel boat in Queen Elizabeth (hippos galore!), the magical gorilla trek in Bwindi (up-close hour with a family—life-changing!), relaxing Lake Bunyonyi. Birding was phenomenal throughout, with aquatic birds, raptors, and forest specials.

Logistics were spot-on: comfortable customized Land Cruiser with pop-up roof and fridge, basic but clean/scenic lodges, tasty included meals, and all permits/activities covered. Wide Birding felt ethical and reliable—great value compared to bigger operators.

If you're eyeing Uganda for wildlife, birds, or primates, book with Wide Birding Eco Tours and request Davis. He made our trip the best—flexible, knowledgeable, and fun. Highly recommend! Thank you, Davis and team!

Very nice birding tour guided by Davis in Uganda
5/5

We just completed a very successful birding tour with Davis in Uganda. Davis is a top-tier guide with professional expertise and responsibility.
1. Good communication and Reliable was built since beginning. I found Davis from Safaribookings as a stranger. He always responds me very quick for my questions. After I transferred birding tour expenses to him, he responded to me that he well received payment around one day later. His quick response let me trust him that he is a reliable and responsible person.
2. Davis's professional expertise is impressive. He knows the birds's calls , habits and habitats, also he has very good eyes to find birds even birds at very far away place or blocked by branch or bushes. we took many video/photoes for many beautiful birds under his help.
3. For our target birds, he contacted local people to realize birds status in advance before we set out for. because our physical condition, we don't like search birds in forests, he detected this point and communicated with us to adjusted the tour.
In summary, if you want to have birding tour in east Africa, Davis is my first and only choice.

Thank you Davis
5/5

Davis planned an excellent, detailed and intricate itinerary to cater for both myself, an avid birdwatcher and two generalist holiday makers (mother and sister). This was no easy task as it required detail and compromise for maximum enjoyment for the whole group. He was brilliant at communicating and accommodating all our very specific and often contrasting needs. I would highly recommend using Davis.

Davis was an amazing guide always adapting on my wishes and preferences, I couldn't expect a better
5/5

Wide Birding has been super professional from the preparation (very proactive, quick direct answers, adapted tour and price).
Once there it was a permanent enchantment on the birds watched, the places. Davis has always a bottle of water ready or other attention. He is very outgoing so knows everyone, always get you the best seats on boats, visits... The guide that other travelers envy you.
The lodge were very nice always with something special, a view over the valley, a garden full of birds, the vicinity to a swamp, a service or team, a very good cuisine... that really made you love the place. That's a great value for money.
Davis has so many secrets of where to find the dream bird you want. A special owl, a kingfisher?
I loved my trip to Uganda and I can't wait to set up a new trip to Uganda, Kenya or Tanzania.
Thank you.
David

A Truly Unforgettable Birdwatching Experience with David in Uganda

I recently had the pleasure of exploring Uganda’s incredible birdlife under the expert guidance of David, and I can honestly say it was one of the best birdwatching experiences I’ve ever had. 10 days Birds and general wildlife photography tour to western Uganda
We are a family group of four adults and from 20th to 30th June 2025 we visited Uganda for birds and wildlife photography. We chose the Wide birding Eco Tours Ltd after checking the reviews on the internet. The itinerary was prepared by Mr. Davis according to our requirements. We visited the Lake Mburo National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable N. Park, Queen’s Elizabeth N. Park Budongo forest and Murchison falls N. Park. With the help of Mr. Davis we have seen and photographed many birds and animals. We took several boat trips in which we had the opportunity to see and take photos of birds and animals such as the shoebill, the African fish eagle, many species of king fishers, bee eaters and various water birds. Furthermore we took photos from a real close distance of elephants, hippos and crocodiles.
Mr Davis is an experienced bird guide. He knows all the birds knows where to find them, and has good connections with other bird guides.
In general we had 10 wonderful days in Uganda full of action travel enjoyment.
Thank you Davis for taking such good care of us

Fantastic birding experience
5/5

I just finished a 7 days trips in Uganda with Wide Birding Ecotours. It was a fantastic experience. My two guides Deo and Robert showed me hundreds of species in a short time including Shoebill, most of the Albertine endemics and many other rare birds. Both of them are real experts who know where the birds are, know all the calls and always made sure I had time to see the birds well and take a picture. The accommodations were of good quality and the 4*4 comfortable.
So if you want a successful birding trip in Uganda do not hesitate and contact them !

Eastern Uganda Birding Tour
5/5

This tour exceeded our expectations as far as the quality of the birdwatching and expertise of our guide/driver Davis. We checked many endemics off our list with the patient and expert tracking of Davis. we feel we had excellent value for money. we chose basic accommodation which puts you squarely in the parks and reserves. We aren’t overly fussy people so we’re fine with cold showers and no air conditioning but thrilled with en suite bathrooms with a “stool” toilet. My only recommendation would be to pack a rechargeable fan for extra comfort. we had been to Uganda 2 years ago for the “traditional” safari so our focus this time was more on birds, a passion of my husband’s. Davis is a very funny and easy-going guy. We shared our meals with him but also had plenty of down time over the hot noon to 4pm time. We are already considering another trip with him to Kenya to try and see the cheetah and more endemics.
