The safari is good but does not correspond to what they offer.
We booked the two-day safari, but honestly, it's not like that. You leave from Zanzibar and take a ferry to Tanzania. Then, the driver waits for you, and it's a six-hour drive to Mikumi. You arrive there at 3 p.m. and do a three-hour safari. Then, they take you back to the hotel. No more safaris. You sleep in the hotel. The next day, they pick you up at 7 a.m. and then it's another six-hour drive, ferry ride, and back to Zanzibar. So, I don't understand where the two-day safari comes from. I insist we saw quite a few animals on the three-hour safari, but we only had three hours, when we had booked a two-day safari. Besides, they don't tell you about the six-hour drive at any point, and we didn't even have breakfast the day we arrived in Tanzania.
Another thing is that we booked it through Get Your Guide and then they canceled it so we had to pay again in person there, which is very strange. Honestly, it was a pain, and we lost another whole day just coming back... I don't recommend it like that. The best option is to go by small plane, but they only offer it as a one-day safari, but it seems that almost all the companies that offer these types of excursions operate that way...

ADDITIONAL: Transfers from Dar es salaam to Mikumi depends on the Availability of RAPID TRAIN or By Our Luxury vans.

A magical 2 days in Mikumi
My girlfriend and I had the most incredible time on our 2 days 1 night safari in Mikumi with Lupeta Safari Tours. Honestly, it was everything we hoped for and more.
A massive thank you to Fatima and John for being such kind and welcoming hosts at the lodge. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The place was peaceful and cozy, the food and the bonfire pit at night was great, and they really went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable.
The safari itself was just unforgettable. Our guide, Jonathan, was super knowledgeable and friendly, and our driver, Limo, was excellent calm, skilled, and clearly knew the park like the back of his hands. Thanks to them, we saw nearly every animal we were hoping for elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras, buffalo, hippos and even more! It honestly felt like something out of a documentary.
The whole trip was so well organized, and you could really feel the team’s love for nature and what they do. It made the experience that much more special for us.
Thank you again to the whole Lupeta team we’ll never forget this adventure. Can’t wait to come back someday!

The best experience of my life!
Everything from the start was perfect. Starting from our driver with whom our almost 5 hour drive sounded like an 1 hour drive. He talked a lot about tanzanian culture, took us to real african lunch and stopped every time we see an animal on the road. Next at the Masai village we had an amazing time which cant be described in words- to have to see it in your own eyes. And the most important- THE SAFARI😍
What i would write isnt enough comparing to what it was. We had THE BEST tour guide and driver. I mean it. Everytime we were passing another jeep on the road i was thankful that we chose this company. The other tour guides was looking like this job was their punishment. And our group was smiling all way, explaining everything even sitting with us on the back. The atmosphere was great whole 12 hours of the ride. They took us to the best spots to see the animals. We saw all of them! They took care to us having great pictures from that trip. It is clear that they were right men for the job. We were so happy and excited the whole time! I cant thank them enough really! The words isnt enough to decribe this journey!! I fully recommend this company- especially our team that travelled with us😍

Hakuna Matata with Lupeta safari!
We went with Lupeta in mikumi park from Zanzibar for three days and two nights.
First day we meet Masai in their Village, a really interesting experience. Second day we made a safari for 12 hours..we saw every animal there Is in the park i suppose, except leopard.to see Lions It was a very entusiastic Adventure, out the main Road directly in the savana.my child of 11 was really enthusiastic.what about Godfrey? He Is the boss and he rappresent Hakuna Matata like way of Life i really think. Thanks for everything.

Amazing first safari experience in Nyerere NP
I live in Dar es Salaam and had a friend come for a visit who wanted to do a safari. It was my first time and Lupeta Safari Tours made it an incredible and easy experience. Everyone from Lupeta was extremely kind and welcoming throughout the entire process. We did a 4 day, 3 night safari to Nyerere NP. The lodge Lupeta selected had a great location right on the river with amazing sunset views. We could even hear hippos from our room and there were monkeys and baboons on the property. The accommodation is simple but has everything you need. The staff is very friendly and the food was good. Our driver and guide inside the park were great. We saw so many animals (giraffes, elephants, lions, zebras, hippos, buffalo, etc). The park is beautiful and huge. Godfrey was very kind writing us to check how the activities were going. We did 1.5 days of game driving, a boat safari, fishing and a walking safari. The walking safari I would not do again but everything else was wonderful. Being on the river in a boat for sunset was a great experience and we saw many crocodiles and hippos. The transport from Dar es salaam was not too long and very comfortable in a private vehicule. I would absolutely recommend Lupeta Safari Tours and Nyerere NP to anyone traveling to Tanzania.

Amazing
Godfrey was amazing from the beginning to the end of the tour. We spent three days together, and I learned a lot from him about Tanzanian culture. He fulfilled all my requests, always with a smile.
The 3-day tour in Nyerere National Park is very well organized, with time to relax and enjoy nature.
I got to see crocodiles up close during the boat safari, and many animals—including lions, elephants, a leopard, and more—during the game drives.
I highly recommend Lupeta for this tour and for other safaris they offer, based on my experience and the trust Godfrey earned during our three days together.
