Wonderful
Three magical days of safari in the Nyerere Game Reserve. I enjoyed every day, accompanied by our guide Stefano, who is a gem and incredibly attentive. The scenery is breathtaking. The camp/lodge is simple but perfectly functional, and the staff are very attentive. The food is simple but delicious.
I highly recommend this excursion.

Fun and thrilling
We were staying in Dar es salaam and the transport arrangements were well organised, picked up at 5am to catch a train were another transport awaited our arrival. The safari was a great experience and the tour guides were very knowledgeable in the animals and wildlife providing great detail and facts about everything. They also had amazingly good vision and would spot animals from afar which gave us a great opportunity to see them too. We saw 3/5 of the big 5 which was still good and would recommend.

Very good and accommodating even for last minute bookings!
The hakuna matata spirit reigned in this tour with a relaxing safaris where we saw (yes!) lions, giraffes, antelopes and may others! They were able to take me on with a day’s notice when my original tour company had transport issues. I was also able to go on a hike to Chizua waterfalls, which was a beautiful and amazing experience. You stay in a very nice villa if you’re on a 2 day trip where they provide delicious food and a very nice room to stay in. I would definitely recommend this tour! The guides were also very personable and informative as well as funny which made my trip as a solo traveller even better!

Gottfried was amazing 12/10, Kind, Knowledgeable, funny, attentive
Our tour guide, Gottfried, was amazing 12/10 !! It was my first time, for my best friend the second time with him. And I see why she wanted to join again. He was extremely knowledgeable, attentative, funny, very kind and polite. He knew exactly when to go where and how to find every animal of the big 5. He taught us a lot in only one day and he always kept the spirit up. A great tour guide like him, really elevated the experience with these magnificant animals from amazing to spectacular. Thank you soo much for that day. It was extremely cool and beautiful. Asante Sana my friend.

He was amazing to be around and knew so much!
My boyfriend and I had the most amazing safari experience with this incredible guide! From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized, and you could really feel how dedicated they were to making sure we saw as many animals as possible. They went above and beyond to give us the best experience, and thanks to them, we saw so much wildlife... it was unforgettable.
Whenever we needed anything, they were there immediately, always ready to help with such kindness and care. The overnight stay was also so comfortable, which made the whole adventure even more special and relaxing.
Everything was Hakuna Matata... whenever something didn’t go exactly as planned, they handled it so smoothly and effortlessly that it never became a problem. They always found a solution and kept everything stress-free and enjoyable.
On the second day, we did the waterfall hike, and it was absolutely breathtaking. There was so much water, and the scenery was just incredible. It was such a beautiful adventure, and one of the highlights for me was seeing and SMELLING rice being grown for the very first time during the hike! Such a unique and memorable experience!
This tour was truly unforgettable, and I can recommend this guide! I even came back a couple weeks later with a friend! If you’re looking for an amazing safari with someone who genuinely cares about giving you the best possible experience, this is it!

Safari tour mud fight, up close among the animals with the best rally driver Godfrey
It started off quite pleasantly when we were picked up at the camp. Unfortunately, there had been a thunderstorm the day before, so while the temperature was comfortable, the safari roads were very slippery and muddy. We thought we'd just picked a bad day, but as the day progressed, it turned out the rain couldn't have been more perfect. The safari finally began. We saw lots of animals, especially the lions, up close. All around us, the safari vehicles were getting stuck, but our amazing Formula 1 driver, Mr. Godfrey, managed to get through almost without getting stuck, haha... Always eager to help, Godfrey also frequently assisted others who were struggling to control their vehicles on the slippery roads. It was a fantastic day full of experiences (adventures), just like you always say. I can only advise everyone who goes on a safari like this – take Elias as your guide and the famous Mr. Godfrey as your driver. For him and his 6-cylinder engine, there's no obstacle too difficult to overcome, and all without four-wheel drive. Another important thing – bring rubber boots; we could have really used them, haha. That's all I want to say except that it was a fantastic and accident-free day despite the rain – which actually made it even better…

Amazing
Godfrey was amazing from the beginning to the end of the tour. We spent three days together, and I learned a lot from him about Tanzanian culture. He fulfilled all my requests, always with a smile.
The 3-day tour in Nyerere National Park is very well organized, with time to relax and enjoy nature.
I got to see crocodiles up close during the boat safari, and many animals—including lions, elephants, a leopard, and more—during the game drives.
I highly recommend Lupeta for this tour and for other safaris they offer, based on my experience and the trust Godfrey earned during our three days together.

Amazing first safari experience in Nyerere NP
I live in Dar es Salaam and had a friend come for a visit who wanted to do a safari. It was my first time and Lupeta Safari Tours made it an incredible and easy experience. Everyone from Lupeta was extremely kind and welcoming throughout the entire process. We did a 4 day, 3 night safari to Nyerere NP. The lodge Lupeta selected had a great location right on the river with amazing sunset views. We could even hear hippos from our room and there were monkeys and baboons on the property. The accommodation is simple but has everything you need. The staff is very friendly and the food was good. Our driver and guide inside the park were great. We saw so many animals (giraffes, elephants, lions, zebras, hippos, buffalo, etc). The park is beautiful and huge. Godfrey was very kind writing us to check how the activities were going. We did 1.5 days of game driving, a boat safari, fishing and a walking safari. The walking safari I would not do again but everything else was wonderful. Being on the river in a boat for sunset was a great experience and we saw many crocodiles and hippos. The transport from Dar es salaam was not too long and very comfortable in a private vehicule. I would absolutely recommend Lupeta Safari Tours and Nyerere NP to anyone traveling to Tanzania.
