Once in a lifetime experience!
On January 1st, we sent an email to Rewild Away, and by January 2nd we already had our first phone call. From that moment on, Ineke was continuously available. I have no idea how she does it, but her very personal approach made the choice so easy for us.
The safari in Tanzania was the absolute highlight of our trip! Ineke, you could not have chosen a better guide for us than Wilson. What a lovely, warm man he is patient, calm, and with an incredible knowledge of the entire country. Not for a single second did we feel unsafe or uneasy with him. He even showed the patience of a saint with our 4-year-old, who was out of sorts at times đ¤

A trip with Tanzania as your destination? Google 'tour operator Tanzania' and in an instant you'll find 100 organizations offering you a trip, tailored or not, usually focusing on ticking off the 'Big Five'. However, this wasn't what we had in mind.
In a list of participants for the âVerre Reizen Eventâ in Antwerp, âRewild Awayâ was listed as a travel organizer solely for Tanzania. When we browsed the website, we immediately felt that this approach would be really personal. We were also really drawn to the philosophy of responsible travel with a focus on nature and support for local communities, especially women.
Soon after, there was a warm phone conversation with Ineke, which felt as familiar as if you had known her for years. She listened carefully to our wishes, our way of traveling, and even suggested a number of activities herself. This resulted in a first travel proposal and, with a few adjustments and additions, a â17-day immersionâ in T At Arusha airport, we were greeted by Hassan, our 28-year-old driver, guide, table companion, travel buddy⌠His calm, safe way of driving allowed us to fully relax and enjoy the landscapes while moving between the national parks. During the game drives, he always made sure we were in the best position to spot and photograph the animals. We had all the time we needed to wait for the perfect shot. In our many conversations, we also got a clear picture of how Tanzanians live, like a (truly) close-knit family, and what the differences are between the numerous tribes⌠Hassan is really an awesome guy, and you need someone like him for an unforgettable, worry-free trip without any annoyances.
Our accommodations, carefully chosen by Ineke, completely matched our expectations: âtented campsâ to be as close to nature as possible while still having the necessary comfort, âcavesâ with the Maasai, and more. Some of these places also supported local communities, like a school or an orphanage, which made us feel even better about staying there. The warm, spontaneous contact with the local people, who even welcomed us into their homes, will stay with us foreverâmore, even, than spotting the Big Five.
Dear Ineke, thanks to you, Hassan, and the team at âRewild Away,â we were truly able to enjoy an unforgettable immersion in Tanzania. We will definitely tell our friends and acquaintances, and who knows, maybe weâll make plans to explore another part of this fantastic country with you.

Fantastic travel experience @ Tanzania with Rewild Away!
Africa had been on our wish list for a long time, but we had never been outside Europe. At a trade fair, we met Ineke from Rewild Away. She spoke so enthusiastically and lovingly about Tanzania that we loved it immediately.
In early July 2026, the time had finally come: we flew to beautiful Tanzania. Two families, each with three kids between 12 and 20 years old, ready for the African adventure!
We landed at Kilimanjaro Airport; our guides Wilson & Hassan were waiting there with two jeeps. We clicked immediately!
We visited five different lodges on the mainland and finished off by chilling out in Zanzibar. We were able to tick everything off our wish list, and so much more!
Everything was arranged perfectly by Ineke and her 'family' (as she affectionately describes her staff). Despite it being high season, we never felt like we were in the middle of a crowd, not even in the Serengeti. Our guides knew perfectly how to steer us away from the hustle and bustle. The lodges were carefully selected, and we felt welcome and safe everywhere.
In any case, we had a fantastic travel experience and would highly recommend Rewild Away: no mass tourism, but a personal, tailor-made travel experience. We made beautiful memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. If we ever go back to Tanzania, we know who to call ;-)

Committed and personal organization
The reason we got in touch with Ineke from ReWild Away was because of the open jeep with a drop-down door. From the very first moment we contacted Ineke, it felt familiar. We were able to communicate all our wishes, and when we received a proposal, we could always make adjustments. We could ask all our questions at any time and never felt hesitant about it. They prioritize personal contact, which feels very pleasant and trustworthy. We set off on our dream trip with full confidence.
At the start of our trip, we were warmly welcomed by our guide Wilson, with whom we immediately clicked because of his sense of humor. He knew a great deal about animal behavior and clearly had experience in positioning the jeep, which contributed to unforgettable photographic moments. Thanks in part to the jeep with large open windows, the retractable roof, the space we had by removing the front seats, and the drop-down door, we were able to take a number of dream photos. Despite the challenges due to the rainy season, we never felt unsafe with Wilson for a single moment, for which we are grateful. During the game drive, we were well taken care of with snacks and drinks. We were in control during the drive; if we wanted to wait a long time at a spot to see if a leopard would become active, he understood. Wilson knew how to pick out beautiful spots in nature where we could have breakfast and lunch.
Ineke was always available during our trip to answer all our questions and also regularly asked us how the trip was going. And when we could no longer make the crossing from Tanzania to Kenya by road due to weather conditions, action was taken immediately and plane tickets were arranged so that we could still make the crossing.
We look back on a wonderful trip with many beautiful memories. We would certainly choose ReWild Away again in the future.

One of the highlights was how attentive our guide Wilson was to our requests. We had one main goal: to see a leopard in the wild. Wilson listened carefully to our wish and went above and beyond to make sure we had the chance to witness this elusive beauty. His dedication was incredible, and we were beyond thrilled when we finally got that perfect leopard sighting.
What really set this trip apart was Wilsonâs flexibility. He truly tailored the experience to our preferences, whether it was the pace of the trip, the sights we wanted to see, or the activities we were interested in. We never had to worry about a thing. Everything was handled with such care and attention to detail.
The accommodations were just as memorable. Staying in tents right in the heart of the Serengeti was an experience weâll never forget. Hearing the sounds of animals just outside our tent was surreal. The food was also fantastic: lots of rice and stews, all full of flavor!
We also really appreciated how experienced and skilled Wilson was. Whenever there were car issues, he handled them effortlessly, solving problems quickly and ensuring we always felt safe and well-cared for.

Our 4-day-safari with ReWild Away in June 2025 was truly the trip of a lifetime. From the very first contact, the experience was perfectly handled. During the holiday fair in Amsterdam, we attended Inekeâs presentation about Tanzania and immediately knew that this would be the destination for our âonce in a lifetimeâ trip. We discussed our wishes for a family trip with Ineke, and she was absolutely amazingâshe truly thought along with us and really put herself in our shoes. Despite the physical limitations of our daughter, she considered what was possible. And she did that incredibly wellâno doubt about it!
Our journey started at Arusha Airport, where we were picked up by Hassan, who would be our guide as we explored Tanzania over the next ten days. From the moment we met him, a special bond began to form. He showed us the love he has for his country, its wildlife, and its people, and he shared this with us in a very personal way. It was truly special to be part of that.
Hassan showed us so much, let us taste and experience everything, and made sure we felt at home. He strayed from the usual tourist paths, took us to local markets, and introduced us to everyday life among Tanzanians and the Maasai. We had brought school supplies and wanted to deliver them to a small village school, and Hassan was able to arrange that for us tooâan experience we will never forget.
After ten days of traveling through Tanzaniaâseeing and doing as much as possible in a short timeâwe had to say goodbye to our amazing travel companion, guide, and driver, Hassan.
The finale on Zanzibar was also perfect. We stayed in a beautiful accommodation with kind people who took great care of us. With water safaris, a visit to Prison Island, and a walk through the old city, our journey ended on a fantastic note.
We, as a family, have enjoyed a wonderful, unique, impressive, and unforgettable tripâone that I will carry with me forever, filled with love and admiration for the country and its people.
We are deeply grateful to Ineke, Hassan, Jacky, the head chef, and everyone else who took such perfect care of everything! You all put so much effort into making this experience amazing, and it truly showed. We admire you greatly!

Thanks to Rewild Away I discovered the real Africa. It was my third time in Africa and Tanzania was the nicest. The Rewild Away family showed me how stunning nature was, how heartwarming the locals were and what Tanzanian culture was like.
We saw lots of different animals in the beautiful national parks. We stayed in serengeti for 4 days, but I couldâve stayed much longer. Serengeti was by far the most beautiful piece I've seen of Africa. I loved the silence and the quietness.
During the whole trip we slept in different places and each place was unique in its way. Each place was checked first by the company.
The whole trip was very personal, which I liked very much. Also thanks to our guide we made many good memories and had a trip weâll remember for a very long time.
