Excellent
5/5

We took part in an 8-day gorilla (Kaara mountain lodge, Bwindi), chimpanzee (Kibale forest tourist lodge) and golden monkey trekking, spiced up with 2 days of rest at the lake Mutanda resort. The experiences, the accommodation, the food were all fantastic, exceeding our expectations. The road and the tours were very safe. It was simply fantastic organization, and we had an experience of a lifetime.

Thoughtful, expert-led Uganda tours rich in wildlife, birds, and culture.
5/5

We had an unforgettable tour through Uganda with Elias, and I can honestly say he made the whole journey much deeper and more meaningful.

He is very organized, but also incredibly kind, attentive, and thoughtful. He always knew where to stop for the best views, quiet moments, or good photos. During the drives, he never just took us from one place to another. He explained what we were seeing: the landscapes, the Virunga volcanoes, the Kazinga Channel between Lake George and Lake Edward, the places where savanna turns into forest, and so many small details that a visitor would never understand from a guidebook alone.

What impressed me most was how deeply he knows Uganda: its wildlife, nature, traditions, everyday life, and culture. He told us about gorillas, chimpanzees, rhinos, animal behavior, plants, local customs, holidays, and the way people live. It felt not just like a tour, but like a natural-history expedition through the country.

And for me personally, as a birdwatcher, the biggest surprise was that Elias is also a very experienced birder. He helped me identify birds, explained field marks, compared similar species and subspecies, used a bird guide to show the details, and seemed to know the book almost by heart. He even gave me little “homework” after our bird sightings: to compare different subspecies of the Grey Crowned Crane in my photos and in the field guide, noticing small details such as the red facial patch and other field marks. It was such a fun and memorable part of the trip.

Thanks to him, I managed to add around 160 bird lifers during this trip. Let’s just say my eBird list from Uganda is something a fellow birder might be both impressed by and a little jealous of.

After this journey, I feel truly inspired to come back and do a dedicated birding tour with Elias, across Uganda or even wider East Africa.

I highly recommend Elias to anyone who wants more than a standard safari. If you want an adventure with beautiful wildlife, birds, plants, landscapes, culture, and a real understanding of the country, he is exactly the guide you hope to meet.

Adventure of a Lifetime
5/5

We took our niece on her graduation trip to Uganda, so we could trek with the gorillas and chimpanzees. We specifically chose Eco Adventure Safaris for their ratings and itinerary. Were there hiccups? Of course, it is Africa. But their staff, especially our guide, Silas, quickly pivoted and immediately came up with alternative solutions. The amount of wildlife we saw was amazing (thanks to Silas' expert spotting). Silas took fantastic care of us; we met as strangers and left family. We were so blessed to have him as our guide. We've been to Africa 4 times previously, and Uganda is very special. Not only are Uganda's scenery and national parks beautiful, but the people are so gracious, welcoming, and friendly. We will definitely be back!
