Unforgettable Luxury Gorilla Trekking Safari with Heart of Africa Adventures
We just returned from a 4-day luxury gorilla trekking safari in Uganda with Heart of Africa Adventures, and it was truly the experience of a lifetime. From start to finish, the trip was flawlessly executed with warmth, professionalism, and attention to every detail.
Our driver, Ibra, was phenomenal—friendly, knowledgeable, and an incredibly safe driver, even on the most unpredictable roads. We always felt secure and well taken care of, and his calm presence added so much to the journey.
A huge thank you as well to Shanita, whose coordination behind the scenes was fast, responsive, and seamless. Every detail—from permits to accommodations—was arranged perfectly, and we felt fully supported and informed throughout the process.
One of the highlights of this trip was finally seeing the elusive Shoebill stork. This was our second time visiting Uganda—our first visit we weren’t lucky enough to spot one—but Heart of Africa Adventures went above and beyond by organizing a special excursion just for us (so it was technically a 5 day adventure). Thanks to their expert planning and local knowledge, we got to see this magnificent bird in the perfect location. It was a dream come true!
The accommodations were luxurious, the service and food exceptional, and the gorilla trekking itself was beyond words—humbling, magical, and deeply moving.
The payment process was easy and reassuring—we wired the deposit from a US bank account and Shanita immediately sent confirmation details and we sent the balance before the trip. Everything was handled professionally, and we had no issues whatsoever.
Heart of Africa Adventures exceeded our expectations in every way. We can’t recommend them highly enough and will absolutely travel with them again!
Tip: You may want to add an extra day after the Gorilla trekking for relaxation.

From start to finish, their organization was impeccable. They handled everything in time and with such meticulous attention to every detail, which truly made our safari experience seamless and incredibly easy.
A huge part of our amazing trip was our guide, Ibra. He was an absolutely amazing person, incredibly knowledgeable, and his expertise shone through every day. He knew all the places like the back of his hand and had an uncanny knack for finding incredible animal spots. Thanks to Ibra, we saw so much wildlife and learned fascinating facts along the way.
