Fraud - None of our reservations were made despite pre-payment. Do not send them your money!!
1/5

We pre-paid for a 7-day safari and 7-day Kilimanjaro trek. Despite pre-paying in full before arrival, none of our reservations had been made as promised. The owner also reversed the order of our safari and mountain trek without notifying us until we arrived. As of this writing, Bramwel Safaris owes me more than $5,000 USD which they are unable to pay.

If you send this company money, you risk arriving in Tanzania with nothing -- no hotels or lodges, no guides, no park fees paid. There is a word for this - it is called theft.

Do not use Bramwel Safaris, they owe me $1100!!!!!

Do not use Bramwel Safaris!!!!!! They owe me $1100!!!!!!

I Booked a 7 day Private tour safari through them in September, I paid $5000 for this. One, our driver was terrible, he did not give us any information or facts, like a tour guide should do. When we would ask to stop to see wildlife he would ignore us and keep driving, but he would stop and talk to every other tour guide we passed. It was like we were on HIS time. When we got to the serengeti park entrance the drivers card to pay the park fees & lodging declined. Now I have already paid for this in advance so where is that money?.....they asked me to use my card and William Amon promised he would pay me in cash when we returned from the park. We had paid $530 to stay at the Ngorogoro Crater hotel which we did not get to stay in. Again, something I had already paid for. I had one request throughout the entire safari (booking a private tour they advertise you can change the itinerary to your needs, apparently not true), William had promised he would make it happen, then it was excuse after excuse as to why he could not do what I asked & it was a simple request. Our driver got fined while in the park, and that somehow was my fault. I should not have to get into an argument with the driver and William while on vacation. That is not what you expect or pay for.
They advertise ice cold water to drink throughout the safari. The so called cooler in the vehicle does not work. Since Sept 16th I have been trying to get refunded the $1100 William Amon & Bramwell Safaris owe me and I have gotten nothing but excuses. Originally he said he wired the money & it would hit in 7 business days. 7 days later of course no money, I emailed him and he said something went wrong......Yeah, bank wires do not go through if you do not have any money!!!!! Then it was going to be wired Oct 15th, It has been nothing but a series of BS excuses since!!! I am extremely dissastisfied with the service of this company & the people working for it, & the amount of lies that have been told to me. They are very dishonest and do not provide what they advertise on their website I paid a lot of money for a safari that was terrible due to the company we used, the driver, and William who ripped me off!!!!

A Wonderful Tanzania Safari
5/5

We had 3 days before and 1 day after our hike up Kilimanjaro to take a safari. So we contacted Bramwel Safaris a couple of months before our scheduled arrival in Tanzania in order to arrange a safari. From the very beginning, William Bramwel, the owner of Bramwel Safaris, was prompt and responsive to our many email inquiries. He made many suggestions and modifications to our itinerary in order to accommodate our interests and time limitations. He did a superb job. He arranged to have us picked up at Kilimanjaro International Airport the evening of our arrival and transported to our overnight accommodations at Karama Lodge in Arusha. The next morning, William personally met us at Karama Lodge to welcome us, answer questions, and go over our safari plans. He let us know if we had any questions or concerns during our safari, to feel free to contact him. He also introduced us to Denis, our driver. During our safari, we visited Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Arusha Park. Denis, was great. His language skills are excellent. He made sure that we were enjoying our safari and that we had many opportunities to see the diverse animal populations residing in the parks. We never felt rushed and had unlimited opportunities to take photographs. Both William and Denis were also very willing to share their vast knowledge of the local cultures and languages. Our trip included a visit to a Maasai village where we were experienced Maasai dance and music. Our evening accommodations during the safaris were excellent. We stayed at the Maramboi Tented Camp and Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge were we enjoyed great evening views and dining. We will always be thankful to William and Denis for making our Tanzania adventure a truly wonderful and memorable experience. We wholeheartedly recommend contacting William at Bramwel Safari if you are looking for a Tanzanian safari of a lifetime.

The experience of a lifetime!
5/5

My husband (see Frank's review below), I, and our teenage daughter had an unforgettable 10 day safari and 3 day visit to Zanzibar. We began our trip with a lovely hike through Chagga villages to the Materuni waterfalls. This was followed by visits to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, and Central and Northern Serengeti. Each park has something unique to offer and the landscapes are simply stunning.

Bramwel made all the arrangements (including internal flights) and the customer service provided was excellent. William was remarkably prompt and helpful and patiently responded to all our questions. We wanted to support a local Tanzanian company but were unsure who to trust. William provided us with several US references who emailed glowing reviews and this made all the difference to us. I can say without reservation that this is a company to be trusted. William stayed in touch with us throughout the trip to make sure that we were happy with all the arrangements. We chose a combination of lodges and tented camps which provided a good balance for us. Mara Under Canvas in Northern Serengeti in particular was gorgeous and provided an experience in the wilderness we will never forget.

The importance of a good guide cannot be over emphasized. Our guide Freddie was wonderful. I cannot say enough about his professionalism, friendliness, and knowledge of animal behavior and Tanzanian customs. His english was excellent, he kept his Land Cruiser spotless, and we felt very safe in his hands. He went out of his way to locate animals for us and impressed us over and over again with his skill at spotting animals. We saw all the Big 5 and so much more! At the end of our trip, he was not only our guide but also our friend.

Zanzibar was fascinating. The Z Hotel was very comfortable located right on the beach with a warm and friendly staff. The detour to Zanzibar is well worth it and I highly recommend visits to Stone Town, the spice plantations, the Jozani Forest and the remarkable Rock restaurant.

Our trip to Tanzania exceeded all our expectations. It truly was an experience of a lifetime. I recommend Bramwel without hesitation and will most definitely use William's and Freddie's services again. I cannot wait to return to Tanzania!

Turned out great despite hiccups
4/5

My husband and I booked our 7-night safari through Bramwel after receiving a prompt and charming proposal to our online request. Since it was out first time to Tanzania (we had been to Africa before, and on Safari in Kenya), we asked a few questions before confirming and paying. Although the trip ended well and we had the friendly and professional Freddy as our guide, it wasn't without several early hiccups including delayed airport pick up, grubby car, not meeting our tour guide until the first camp, hotel booking not found at the first camp, having to pay $840 at the Serengeti National Park gate (despite transferring the full amount 3 weeks in advance of our arrival. The amount was of course refunded to us in Arusha on our way back out), the cool box in the Land Cruiser not working, etc. Having said that, the rest of the trip was amazing, the experience highly memorable, we got to see the big five and more. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, professional and really passionate about showing us the best sights and he salvaged our initial disappointments and concerns.

Great and maybe better!
5/5

We had a great guide, Freddie, who provided terrific services throughout our 10 day safari. We went as 3, with my 14 year old daughter. William Anon, the owner of Bramwel Safairis, is honest. He delivers on his promises. He was responsive to all booking questions. His prices are more than competitive. We stayed in tents and lodges which conformed to his representations at booking. Glamping is worth it!! The stop at the Mara River, where we saw 4 crossings and predations, will last with my family for a long time. I cannot say enough good things about Bramwel Safaris!!!

Prompt, professional with a personal touch.
5/5

Bramwel safaris offers professional customised tours. Mr William is very prompt in communication and everything was delivered as promised. Driver Tumaini was very knowledgeable, jovial and reliable. He went the extra mile to help us and educate us about Africa and animal behaviour. Thanks to both of them! Would certainly recommend.

They delivered 100 % on all commitments . The owner himself received us and the driver Fred didn't hesitate to put in effort far beyond the call of duty to ensure that we had the best experience ever. All accommodation was very good and the service exemplary. I must also thank the people of Tanzania for being so welcoming and friendly I would happily recommend Bramwel

Unforgettable Experience
5/5

We just returned from our 8 day private safari with Bramwel Safaris. Since we are happy and satisfied to the service we received, we decided to write a review a good review for them and for those who are struggling to decide which company to use.

Our guide knowledge beyond the introductory level, told us many interesting points of Maasai culture and even knew French language. Our guide was apparently enthusiastic to see the animals himself and to tell detailed stories of their habits for us.
We ate the food prepared by our private chef with good appetite as this was a camping safari. We submitted our requirement for food and drinks beforehand and he prepared three meals a day accordingly. In some days we had breakfast/lunch box when we wanted to do more game drive.

The safari vehicle was a Land cruiser with pop-up roof which offered a lot of space, good view, and smooth ride on bumpy roads. We had full control on how much to drive each day, or how long we want to observe each animal and when to proceed to see something else.

Bramwel Safaris is small and flexible company with only few vehicles and guides, and their tour consultant, William, who is paying much attention to the quality of service. We had close to budget level safari, but still William made a tailored program according to our needs. He responded to our emails swiftly and was personally interested that everything went well during the safari.

We highly recommend Bramwel Safaris!

8 Days Safari with Bramwel Safaris
5/5

It was the first, but will not be the last, with Bramwel Safaris.
After having contacted several safari offices,I opted for Bramwel Safaris. After few updates on the itinerary, and how many days, the start date has been set. Private safari, from January 25 to February 1, from Tarangire NP(great),to Ngorongoro crater (Garden of Eden),through the inescapable Serengeti NP.
It was a successful safari, very well organized, with a vehicle very well maintained, and... Julius.
Julius, unparalleled driver guide, knowing very well is job, very professional. I was delighted, and cherry on the top,we saw the big five.
I don't regret my choice. Oh no.
Asante sana. Nashukuru.
