An extraordinary, flawlessly executed trip of a lifetime with Africa Zim. Simply unforgettable!
This was our very first safari experience, traveling as a family of three (my wife, our 20-year-old son, and myself), and we can say without hesitation that it was the trip of our lives.
Our 15-day journey took us across three incredible countries, starting in Windhoek (Namibia) and continuing through the majestic dunes of Sossusvlei, the coastal charm of Swakopmund and Walvis Bay, the ancient landscapes of Damaraland, and the wildlife-rich Etosha National Park. From there, we traveled along the Okavango River (Divava) into Botswana for an amazing experience in the Okavango Delta, stopped at Elephant Sands, explored the abundant elephant herds of Chobe National Park, and concluded at the spectacular Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe). Every single day was filled with awe-inspiring wildlife, striking scenery, and seamless hospitality.
We booked our tour only a few months before our departure date, which could have been stressful, but Pamela and Sharon in the tour office made the entire process effortless.
Pamela was exceptionally quick to respond to every single inquiry we had. Because we booked on relatively short notice, a few of the original accommodations were already full. Pamela handled this brilliantly: she presented fantastic alternative lodges that exceeded our expectations, remaining 100% transparent about any costs involved throughout the planning stage.
What impressed us even further was that Pamela stayed in touch with us during the tour itself to ask for feedback and ensure everything was running smoothly. That proactive level of care and customer service made us feel completely supported from day one.
While the itinerary was magnificent, what truly elevated this holiday from great to unforgettable was our guide, Stanford.
Stanford started as our driver and guide, displaying immense knowledge about African wildlife, ecology, geography, and local culture. He was exceptionally kind, attentive, and consistently focused on our safety and comfort.
Over the course of 15 days together, Stanford became far more than just a guide: he became a genuine friend. So much so that we still keep in touch through the WhatsApp group we created for the four of us. We had endless, enriching conversations sharing details about our respective cultures, learning about the regions we were passing through, and discussing the wildlife around us. Yet, Stanford also possessed a rare instinct for knowing exactly when to give our family quiet moments to soak in the scenery and rest. He found the perfect balance between engaging companionship and personal space.
Furthermore, Stanford’s flexibility was second to none. Whenever we expressed interest in something along the road, he was always happy to make unscheduled stops, take small detours to check out sights not included in the original itinerary, or help us add extra local activities along the way. His "can-do" attitude made the entire adventure feel custom-tailored to us in real time.
Africa Zim Travel & Tours delivered outstanding value for money. Vehicles were spotless, every transfer was punctual, and the quality of accommodation, meals, and park inclusions was top-tier relative to the investment. Their organization and reliability were flawless from start to finish.

A beautiful bespoke tour - recommended
Call us naive, but we didn't realise when we booked that it would just be me and my friend on the tour and that was a wonderful way to start the trip (as we watched busloads of competitors' tours with over a dozen people on them!). Charity welcomed us and looked after us beautifully from the first day until the very end and made sure we were comfortable and had a really valuable holiday experience.

Victoria Falls to Windhoek
We’re very happy we booked with Africa Zim Tours. The accommodations were excellent as was our guide/driver. The safaris at the various national parks allowed us to see a great variety of animals in there natural surroundings.
Africa Zim provides reliable service and is money well spent.

This was our second trip with Africa Zim Travel & Tours, and once again we can honestly say: it was wonderful!
Our first trip with this company was in 2024, when we travelled through Botswana and Zimbabwe. We were already extremely impressed with the organisation, the choice of lodges, routes and excursions, and above all with the excellent communication and support from the office. So, when planning our next African adventure, we had no hesitation in choosing Africa Zim again.
This time, our destination was Namibia – an incredible journey filled with breathtaking landscapes, wildlife and unforgettable places that will stay in our memories for a very long time. Everything was exceptionally well planned and organised: the route, the choice of lodges, excursions and all the little details that are so important on a journey like this.
A huge thank you also goes to Pamela for her wonderful communication, patience and help throughout the entire process. From the very beginning to the very end, we felt that we were in very good hands.
But our special thanks go to our guide, Stanford. This was the second time Stanford travelled with us, and we simply cannot imagine having a better guide. He is incredibly professional, responsible, patient and has an enormous knowledge of Africa. He takes care of every detail while also creating a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere throughout the journey.
Most importantly, Stanford is no longer just our guide. He has become our friend. ❤️ After two journeys together, we feel very lucky to have met such a wonderful person, and we would happily set off on another African adventure with him.
