Oluokos Safari: Exceptional, personalized, and immersive safari experiences.
I wanted to take the time to write a review of my experience with Oluokos Safari. Let's just first start by saying the most important thing to me was safety. Going far from home, I was initially hesitant about whom I would end up with. However, after the first day, I can tell you that Ouma and his wife Kristina were wonderful. They helped us customize our Safari to what WE wanted to do. Besides the usual safari itinerary, I wanted to stop at a coffee place, visit a local church, and explore off-the-beaten-path sights, which they accommodated happily.
Some of the cool things we saw included two lions feasting on a buffalo, witnessing two rhinos mating, and an immense elephant that approached our car, just a few feet away. Ouma kept us calm and ensured we felt safe throughout these thrilling encounters. His 20 years of experience shone through, allowing us to see the Big 5 and understand the depth of the wilderness.
To enhance our experience, Ouma chose a driver specifically so he could focus on spotting animals and be free to educate us on the rich history and ecosystem of Africa. This level of personalized service truly stood out, offering a more enriching safari experience.
When it comes to value for money, the experience offered by Oluokos is unparalleled. The personalized attention, starting from pick-up, the customized experiences, to the final drop-off, goes beyond what you'd typically expect for the price. It’s rare to find a company that deviates from their standard itinerary to tailor-make an experience this personal and immersive.
The itinerary was meticulously organized. Ouma took us to a local Maasai Mara village, where we walked with a warrior and gained intimate insight into their daily lives and cultural practices. This wasn’t just a safari; it was a deep dive into the local culture and traditions, making the experience incredibly special.
Ouma's respect for wildlife and commitment to sustainable practices was evident throughout our journey. He ensured that we observed the animals from a safe distance, respecting their natural habitats and behaviors, which speaks volumes about their ethos.
After concluding our safari, I reflected on the entire experience and realized how much value we received for our money. It's one thing to go on a safari, but to have someone who allows you into his world, walks you through the streets of Nairobi, invites you into his childhood home, and introduces you to his friends adds an incredibly personal touch that's hard to find elsewhere.
Overall, my experience with Oluokos Safari was nothing short of extraordinary. The combination of thrilling wildlife encounters, exceptional personal service, cultural immersion, and commitment to conservation made this journey unforgettable. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a safari that goes beyond the ordinary and touches the soul.

What can I say? We had the most incredible safari trip of our lives. Ouma was polite, professional, friendly, thoughtful and extremely knowledgeable. He went to every effort to ensure we made the most out of our trip, and ensuring we were comfortable and happy throughout. He liaised with hotel staff to ensure everything was perfect ahead of our arrivals, he planned our route taking into account what we wanted to see and do, ensuring we never took the same road twice (!!) and he taught so much about the African wildlife, culture and landscape.
He made the trip for us, and I have no doubt that had we have chosen another guide, we wouldn’t have had such an incredible and memorable experience. We felt very lucky to be in such capable hands. And Big John, our driver - he was brilliant. We made quite the little team and we were very very sad to leave when the journey came to an end.
Ouma was not just our guide, he was our friend and we can’t wait to come back and do it all again with members of our family.

Great Day Tour!
Our group had a wonderful day tour of Ruma National Park in western Kenya. Our guides Ouma and Christine were wonderful. We were the only tour in the park that day, and they made sure we saw as much as we could. We really enjoyed our trip, and will use this company again.
The Oluokos really know the western Kenya circuit.
I love bird watching and the Oluokos are avid bird watchers with great ideas on where to bird in western kenya.
Also a very warm team!

Joseph is extremely knowledgeable and is extremely considerate of the wildlife.
My husband, two daughters and I visited Kenya and stipulated we did not want it to be expensive We had a great experience and went to budget camps which proved to be wonderful. Joseph took us to 5 safari parks ad we had a great experience at a Maasai Village. He took us around the top of the rift valley which was an amazing journey. We had a great walking safari round Crater Lake. We started off really early and went to where the tourists don't go and saw hippos and also swallows on the ground.
If you want to see Kenya in depth and go where locals go, this is the tour for you.
If you go with a tour with Joseph, you won't ever want to go with anyone who has less knowledge or who cares for wildlife as much.

Magnificent experience under the guidance of a very experienced guide
I traveled with my husband with the guidance of Mr. Oluoko He himself suggested a variation of the trip that was very useful, given that the purpose of the trip was to visit the Rift Valley lakes in search of flamingos. We then visited Lake Nakuru, scouring every part and arriving at sunset in an enchanted place where white rhinos and buffaloes were found near flocks of flamingos. We slept in a beautiful resort on Lake Elementatia and early in the morning we went to peel the shores, where millions of flamingos lived. a paradise !
Mr.Oluoko was very good, great ornithologist, to illustrate all the species of animals and birds seen!

Wildlife Safari from Western Kenya
We did a safari with Oluokos Signature Ltd from Kisumu, Kenya. Having a couple of weeks in the Western Kenya s volunteers Oluokos team engaged us responsibly on some amazing excursion where we visited Ndere Island National Park, Kit Mikaye, Kakamega Forest and Ruma National Park that was very special to us.
After all the great excursions in Western Kenya, we embarked on a longer safari that took us to Lakes Nakuru and Bogoria, Samburu Game Reserve, the Aberdares National Park, Amboseli Maasai Mara and then finished with Lake Naivasha where walking safaris, mountain biking and a night game drive iced our safari experience.
Oluokos Signature passion towards responsible tourism is very impressive and it's worth every penny that you spend. We highly recommend them. Their choice of lodges is number one plus the best land-cruiser safari vehicle that made us the champs of the wilderness experience.
