An awesome safari journey by David
We spent two and a half days in Amboseli National Park. This is our first station for the whole safari journey. We saw elephants so close just crossing by our car. Also, lion, zebra, giraffe, antelope and so many other birds. Me and my friends do appreciate the lead from our guide David. He is rich in looking for animals and thanks for his excellent driving skills, we experienced a comfortable journey.

An unforgettable safari experience made special by a wonderful team.

As this was our first safari, my biggest concern was finding a legitimate and trustworthy safari company. I spent a lot of time researching and inquiring with more than a dozen companies before making our decision.
After our experience with Horizon Wanderlust Safaris, I can confidently say that we are very happy that we chose them for our first safari. From the planning stage to the end of our trip, everything was handled professionally, and we always felt that we were in good hands.
A special thank you to Emmaron, who was incredibly patient and professional throughout the entire planning process. I had a lot of questions, and she always took the time to answer them without ever putting pressure on us to make a decision. We changed and adjusted our itinerary several times while planning the safari, but Emmaron stayed with us throughout the entire process and was always helpful and accommodating.
I would also like to thank David for making the safari possible within our budget and for arranging everything on the operational side. Thank you as well for assigning John to us as our guide — it made a huge difference to our experience.
And then there is John, our guide, whom we cannot thank enough.
His knowledge of the animals, their behaviour, and the different reserves really showed how experienced he is in the industry. Our long drives between the different reserves were never boring. Instead, our time in the vehicle was filled with stories, conversations, laughter, and interesting things we learned about Kenya and its wildlife.
One of the things that amazed us most was the sheer abundance of wildlife. Everywhere we went, there seemed to be something to see — large herds of elephants, zebras, buffalo, giraffes, antelopes and so many other animals. The reserves themselves were incredible, vast landscapes that seemed to go on forever, and each one had its own character and wildlife experience.
Of course, wild animals are unpredictable, and nobody can guarantee what you will see on safari. But John's experience, patience, and decision-making played a huge part in giving us some incredible sightings. We were fortunate enough to see the Big Five and the Ugly Five, many of them remarkably close.
Beyond his knowledge and experience, John is also a very warm, kind, and thoughtful person. He genuinely cared about whether we were enjoying ourselves and always made sure we were comfortable.
It was a truly unforgettable and emotional experience for both of us. Seeing these incredible wild animals in their natural environment, surrounded by such vast and beautiful landscapes, was something we will never forget.
We would genuinely recommend Horizon Wanderlust Safaris to anyone planning a safari in Kenya. 🐘🦁🦒🇰🇪❤️
