Unforgettable safari in Kenya to see Big 5 and even more
4/5

The company did an excellent job to design a tour according our requirements: we wanted during limited time to see the most famous parks, do maximum games, see ocean and relax at the beach before departure back home. So, we were in Maasai-Mara, Nakuru, Amboseli, we were lucky to see Kilimandjaro, visit Naivashu, Tsava West.
We see opportunity for some improvement - we could save couple of hours if we could do all final arrangements not in the company office in Nairobi, but in airport and avoid Nairobi with terrible traffic. But in general everything was fine, driver was very experienced, all transfers done on time. Very special thanks to George and His team for the trip and real Kenian hospitality.

Great holiday in Kenya with Right Choice Tours & Travel
4/5

Me and my mother had 8 days safari which we ordered in Right Choice Tours & Safaris. It was something special, unique and unforgettable. We covered the most famous national parks. The trip was well organized, our driver Saimon was very patient and payed a lot of attention to details, he always stopped in order to show us animals, which we did not notice at first. Special thanks goes to George, the owner of the company, who offered nice safari 3 days before my arrival and was so kind to meet us in the Nairobi airport.
If you want to have a nice holiday in Kenya Right Choice Tours & Safaris is a really right choice! This company is reliable.

The service with regards the booking was efficient and friendly.
4/5

All of the arrangements worked out well. We saw several different parks across two countries and all ran as smoothly as could be expected. The drivers were authentically knowledgeable and interested.

I would recommend this company. They do their best to make everything special.

Good choice for your first safari
4/5

We had our private safari trip for two persons in Kenya with Right Choice tour agency in January 2015. Overall experience was good and we can recommend this agency as a decent company for low/mid budget safari touring.

Plus for Russian speaking tourists is the option to communicate with company's agent Elena who makes all the communications before and during a trip smooth and easy.

George who is the main guy in the agency proved to be a customer care driven person. As we arrived to Kenya we were surprised to know that the lodge at our first stop in Amboseli park was luckily changed for a much more better 5 star Ol Tukai lodge with no extra payment needed. Thank you, George , for that :)

We were offered a Toyota minivan as our safari car, it is a popular budget option in Kenya. It wasn't technically that good during the trip, so I would recommend to pay attention to car's condition from the very beginning. The car wasn't so convenient on some Kenyan offroads, so you should think of other options if interested in more comfort.

Our driver Jacob was a nice guide, we were very pleased with him. Actualy that is very important to have a reliable guide in your trip in Africa. Jacob was the right guy, he showed us the Big Five :)

To sum up, Right Choice tour agency can provide you a nice trip if you are limited in budget and don't stress heavily when some not planned issues occur on their way. It's Afrika, so Hakuna Matata!

Great experience aided by an excellent driver/guide. Saw all the big game, bar Leopards, well pleased
4/5

George delivered on his promises of quality service and standards. It was my first safari in Kenya and I didn't appreciate the distances between game reserves. We had an excellent safe driver, a big bonus. He was knowledgeable and got us as close as possible to the game. I got what I paid for and felt it was above average value.
I would do it differently next time by spending less time on the road and more time in the game reserves. I would certainly do it through Right Choice Tours. George's was always available by phone if needed and his gesture to compensate for vehicle problems was very generous. He runs a good show and his staff are experienced and helpful. The collection and delivery service from and to the airport was much appreciated. Well done Right Choice Tours and Travel and continued success.

Very good game drive with Right Choice
4/5

When I was looking around for a good tour, I have contacted several tours as their prices all fell within my consideration. I did not consider the tours for which the prices were too high.
I like the Right Choice Tour because the manager George was always provided very quick responses. Based on many researches that I did and experiences from other people that I gathered, I proposed my own route and requirements. George always helped and supported. For example, I really wanted to see is flamingos; I asked if I couldn’t see them at Lake Nakuru, I would want to go to Lake Bogoria. I also asked to add one hour boat ride at Lake Naivasha, etc. In terms of the price, George was very fair. So that’s why I decided to pick this tour group.
My trip was seven days plus the first day of arrival. We were three families going together. We arrived at Nairobi with 3 different times. George picked us one family by another to our hotel without charging us very much. We made a mistake booking the hotel in the center of the city and this was paid for the first night ourselves. We thought that we had some time to sightsee in the city so it would be more convenient to book the hotel there. But we didn’t expect such big traffic from the airport to the city center. It took us two to three hours to get to the hotel from the airport, which got us really exhausted. The hotel also really sucked. It’s 75$/per night and we’ve never lived in such a bad hotel before. It really hit us hard on the head. We didn’t even dare to go out to eat since there were so many homeless beggars on the street so the street looked really unsafe. Not only that, the second day we had to get out of the city center, and encountered the same bad traffic. If we had lived near the airport we would’ve avoided the traffic both times. It would’ve been nice if George could’ve made some suggestions beforehand.

Our game drive ride was a minivan. The vehicle is resilient although it was not as good-looking as the jeeps. We thought that there would be Wi-Fi on the van also the van has a sticker saying Wi-Fi on boat, but there was no Wi-Fi. So we were a bit disappointed about that. Due to the fact that going to every single route took a long time, approximately 4 hours, it would’ve been nice if we had Wi-Fi. Because then we could contact our family and friends about how we were at the moment.
Tom was our driver and he was professional, drove fast but also safely. Every single time we arrived earlier than I expected. He also constantly consoling us that the destination was near and that there were no more bump road ahead. That made us feel more comfortable.
We stayed in Masai Mara National Reserve for three nights. The arranged lodging that George made for us was the Masai Mara Sopa Lodge. It was a very comfortable stay, food was good also. We also had a formal dinner which made us really happy. Everybody said that the lodge and its service were out of their expectations. There was also WiFi in lobby.
During the two-days game drive in Masai Mara. Tom was very fast in finding the animals and was very diligent in helping us finding everything that we wanted to see. Under his guidance, we saw a lot of animals, especially lions. We actually saw lions mating twice and saw male lions many times. We also had a really rare encounter with cheetahs in pre-breakfast game drive. Tom also negotiated with us regarding changes. For example, if we go to see Masai Mara river he suggested us to bring our lunch, so that we save time going back and forth. He also took us to another lodge for resting and eating lunch. The surrounding environment was really nice. He cared about if we were not happy about something by constantly asking us if everything was okay. He was also humorous at times and made us laugh. We really liked him and thought he was an honest person. We were very satisfied with our Game Drive at Masai Mara.

When we left Masai Mara, we went to Lake Nakura and stayed there for one day. George arranged that we stay at Lake Nakuru Lodge. The place was also really good, only that there was an extra charge for WiFi so that was a big disappointing. At Lake Nakuru Park, we have seen black and white rhinocerose. This completed seeing the “Big Five” from our top wish-list for this trip. But I was disappointed that we didn’t get to see the flamingo at Lake Nakuru. Tom drove very far distances and tried to see them on the side of the lake with no luck.
After reading so many other people’s trip diaries, I learnt that apparently the chances nowadays for seeing them at Lake Nakuru is rare. That’s why from the beginning I asked to go to Lake Bogoria if we don’t see flamingo in Lake Nakuru. I thought I have I had a back-up plan that if I couldn’t see them at Lake Nakuru then I’ll try Lake Bogoria. That was what we agreed in the contract. But I wasn’t notified until that point that apparently we had to pay 50$/per person out of our pockets. But that wasn’t what was written in the contract so I hope in the future I would be made clear on this. We did not go Lake Bogoria. I felt upset that the fact that I did so much homework finding them was wasted, especially I have promised my friends we could see them either in lake Nakuru or Bogoria. Another thing is that the trip route that day was not reasonable and I didn’t find this out until we got there. If we came out of Masai Mala we had to go straight to Lake Bogoria to first see the flamingos and then come back to stay at Lake Nakuru, wouldn’t there be a lot more chances. Also from Masai Mala to Lake Nakuru, why did we have to pass Nairobi city center for lunch? Was it because we need settle the accounts? We met a lot of traffic passing through Nairobi again. If in this trip when we settled the contracts, George can be a bit meticulous in helping us fix these little things that would be good.

The last part of the trip we stayed at Amboseli National Park for two days. We wanted to go see Mt. Kilimanjaro. Staying two days was also a back-up plan for me because many people who stayed one day did not get to see Mt. Kilimanjaro. We finally saw Mt. Kilimanjaro on the second day evening and that is really existing and nice. The lodging there that George arranged for us was also really good. It was at Kibo Safari Lodge but too bad that it didn’t have Wi-Fi at all. Compare to Masai Mara, Amboseli National Park didn’t have a lot of exotic animals, mostly elephants so it wasn’t as exciting. But Tom still worked really hard helping us find animals that we’ve never seen before so we still saw a few animals that we haven’t seen at Masai Mara.
We finally successfully finished this entire itinerary. We rate the tour 80 points. Overall it’s pretty good. How many people wanted to go to Africa to see animals, it came true for us!

Warm responsive operator, great on ground experience
4/5

We decided to go with Right Choice and we were not disappointed. To start with, during our planning stage, George was most reponsive. He answered each and every query with patience, understanding and reassurance.
I'm glad to say that the trip exceeded our expectations. Jacob, our guide and driver was perfect. He seemed to know the Masai Mara like the palm of his hand. He was most cordial, got us to see all the big 5 and much more. He answered all our questions and quite endeared himself to the group with his sincerity and sense of calm.
George advised and guided us in choosing the right camp and that really helped too. The Camp was nice with clean beds, clean toilets and nice ambience overall.
Just one key area which we found wanting was food: We were accompanied by a cook whose food or services are not much to be talked about. Clearly hygiene was lacking. I came down with a dysentry and so did our guide, on the very 1st day of our trip. Thanks to a Doctor in the nearby village, I was back on track. Meals were rather dull and the cook clearly lacked imagination.
We did give our feedback to George after our trip was over and he was very positive in receiving the feedback. Full points to George and Jacob for a most memorable trip.
I wouldn't mind going again with Right Choice. As George says "you can book with confidence".

Good operator, reasonably priced and very responsive
4/5

Right Choice was the most responsive operator I found and they followed up on all my questions and suggestions in a timely manner. The tour costs were extremely competitive for what you get and they were very flexible on customizing the tour. For instance, I asked that I did not want to go over Likoni ferry on the way from Tsavo to Diani and we worked out a back route bypassing Mombasa altogether. As an aside, if you are planning to go to Masai Mara, make sure you choose a 4wd.

Good local guide for Kenya, but choose someone else for Tanzania
4/5

Ok firstly lets get this clear first. These guys are a local Kenyan tour company, and not a UK or US based one. As such you need to accept some "Hakuna Matata" moments in exchange for a much lower cost. If you aren't willing to accept some inconveniences, then pay the extra money and go to a Western company.

Now I've gotten that clear, Right Choice are a good, respectable, honest and reliable local Kenyan tour operator. Charles (Opany), our guide, was amazing. Eagle eyed, knowledgable, and best of all just a good guy whom you can get along with. We had a great time and got some lovely viewing and photo opportunities. Also the places you go are really good for the money you pay. Ok you won't be staying Right Inside all of the big game parks, but you tend to be paying less than other company quotes for a lot of the same lodges/camps. They are seemed very flexible to cater to your wishes/budget which was great.

During our Kenya tour, they initially got the itinerary slightly wrong but George was more then happy to make sure it was amended to an agreed itinerary, with some alterations that actually suited the conditions for better viewing than we had originally planned. Word of advice to avoid any mistakes, make sure you have a typed itinerary that you circulate with ALL your correspondences, and make sure George agrees on this one. That should solve things. Also be aware that George is more then happy to tailor an itinerary to suit you, so don't be afraid to request specific changes after doing some google mapping, trip advising, and review trawling.

Now we did a Kenya/Tanzania trip with Right Choice. What I didn't realise is Right Choice don't have a license to operate in Tanzania, so they outsource to Kili Slopes safari company for Tanzania. These guys were ok, the accomodation was on par with Kenya but our tour guide, although lovely and found us some more great photo and viewing opportunities, was less outgoing/engaging than Charles and as such was a bit disappointing in comparison.

Overall I would recommend Right Choice safari's (in particular for Kenya).

seen a lot of animals
4/5

It was a great experience. Communication was easy and organisation very comfortable. Jakob the guide did his best to find a lot of animals. Though the bus was a bit old, and the road to Masai Mara is long and difficult.
