Affordable, flexible and really friendly
5/5

We did our 4 days lodge safari with Patrick the guide. Organising and fine-tuning it was really easy, with Romeo most accommodating to our itinerary (we were picked up and dropped off in Nairobi, with private transfer to and from Arusha organised by Romeo). Communication via email was good, with response coming from Romeo very fast. Patrick is very friendly, helpful, knows a lot about wildlife, where and what to look for. Managed to see big 5. I have no hesitation to recommend Safari Multiways if one wants to do safari in Tanzania. Hope we can find some time to do it again with them.

Great value for a great experience
5/5

Really enjoyed our 5 day camping safari. Omar the guide and Moses the cook were both very helpful and informative. Omar had great knowledge of the parks and animals, hence we managed to see all of the Big Five! It was definitely great value and the airport transfer was much appreciated. Unfortunately the iteniery said we would stay at three lodges and we only ended up staying in one. Really enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend Safari Multiways to anyone!

An unforgettable adventure
5/5

From the 17th of July we did a 8 day safari tour with Safari Multiways. The contact with the owner of the company, Romeo, was very good. A quick response and very helpful in making a good programme. As we wanted to hike and a canoo tour this was added in our safari.
My boyfriend and I were picked up from Kilimanjaro Airport and brought to a hotel in Arusha. The next day we were picked up by Amos (the guide), Moses (the cook) and Piuc (an intern). Our 8 days consisted of Arusha National park, Tarangire National park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Lake Empakaai (and hiking in the highlands), Serengeti (central and north), Lake Natron and climbing mount Ol Doinyo Lengai (the cook made us extra pancakes as we needed power for a 11 hour hike) . During our whole week the atmosphere was very good. The guide was very enthousiastic and has a lot of knowledge. It was very nice to spot all the different animals with him. The cook was a very funny guy and the food was good every time; three times a day. We slept in tents which was what we expected, the sounds of hyena's made us fell asleep in the Serengeti. The 4 by 4 car was big enough to be comfortable for the two of us, during the safari we were standing with an open roof. In the different parks the guide gave us all the time we needed to make pictures.

In conclusion, we are happy that we booked with Safari Multiways. It is a smaller company, run by extremely kind Tanzanian people with a very good price-quality ratio.

A priceless and unforgettable adventure!!!
5/5

We are very happy with our safari with multiways. Romeo is very kind and helpful. Everything went exactly as expected. We did a 6 day camping safari and went to Tarangire, Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorogoro. It was definitely the best price compared with other companies. The camping safari is not luxury at all but it has its charms. For example when we woke up an elephant was next to our tent. Our guide Patrick knew so much about wildlife. He was very enthusiast in letting us see everything. We took everything out of the six days. We left around 7 in the morning and we stopped with the game drive around 6 in the evening. We saw the big 5 and even more spectacular 2 lions on their honeymoon!! Our chef Pasko was very good! The food was every time a surprise and always very tasteful. I would definitely recommend multiways. If you want a safari where you will see a lot of animals and have good meals but don't mind living without luxury this is the best choice for the best price! Thank you Romeo, Patrick and Pasko for the wonderful adventure!

Fantastic value for money
5/5

After significant research on cost and itineraries I settled for this particular company - granted their website is not great and there are not a ton of reviews BUT the pacage we had for the 3 of us was excellent. We had a driver a cook for the 8 days of camping and it was the best way to do a safari in my opinion (unless of course you really want to drop 3k for overpriced soulless lodges.) Camping is NOT for everyone but it was perfect for us. We were avid photographers so the driver had a great sense of where to find the elusive animals. There are never any guarantees that you will find what you want but he kept driving until he found them. I used to think my eyesight was good but this guy was unbelievable - he could see a leopard in a tree at over 400m.
Thoroughly recommend. Amazing trip.

Our outstanding safari guide provided an incredible experience.
5/5

Safari Multiwayz made booking, and going on safari super easy. We found Multiwayz almost by accident after inquiring on tours with some of the larger companies, but we are so glad we chose Multiwayz, the price was more affordable than many of the other quotes, and I think we ended up with a more intimate experience as a result. We were a party of 2, and so we ended up with a private guide, for 4 days and some of the most memorable experiences of our lives.

Tailoring the safari to our liking was very straight forward. Program director Romeo replied to email very promptly and we were able to pay with a credit card online. Our booking included transport to and from the airport, accommodation with breakfast and dinner, and a box lunch on the go. We chose to stop at a Masai village and paid that extra expense out of pocket. (bring USD cash!!)

Our guide Amos met us at the airport and transported us to our overnight hotel in the nearby town of Arusha. The next morning we began our safari, that started with a day in Tarangire, 2 days on the Serengeti and finally the Ngorogoro crater.

The safari accommodation was superb. Our favourite was by far the Serengeti Tortilis Tented camp, a literal camp in the middle of the Serengeti - you can hear the lions in the middle of the night!

Every location had large, comfortable beds, running water, and some even had wifi. The food was generally not fussy, though not strong on local flavours (sticking closely to blander hotel palettes) and we were provided with a box lunch every day. We are in our 30s and live in Los Angeles so we are not afraid of trying new things, but all the hotels feed all the guests the same meal at the same time so they hedge their bets toward offending no one. This was fine for us. Everything was fresh and hot and offered a full breakfast too.

Our guide knew EVERYTHING. He answered every question abut the landscape, wildlife, culture, politics and media. He was friendly, knowledgeable and very capable driver. He has incredible spotting abilities and has a pair of binoculars (bring some of your own if you're a larger group!) The job must be exhausting as most of the roads are not paved, and in some parts the cloud cover and fog made it impossible to see more than 2 feet ahead. Despite this he met us every morning with a smile and seemed to know exactly what we wanted to see and do.

If you are thinking about a safari and want a very authentic, private, but not "protected" experience (do you really need to be met on an airstrip with champagne?) please try Multiwayz. We are so glad we did.

Excellent service, flexible planning and great guide
5/5

The planning of the Safari with Romeo was very good he replied promptly to all emails and made suggestions to adapt the itineray to suit our arrival and departure situation. The accommodation chosen for the Safari was very good with special mention for the Tortilies tented camp in the Serengeti. The choices in accomodation allowed to keep the budget of the trip down. The vehicle used was the standard Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4 with opening top with seating for 5 passengers (we were only 2 so we had plenty of space). Our vehicle was a bit old and showed the wear of many long trips, but it was solid and we actually had to help other newer vehicles form other companies that had broken down.
Our guide Patrick did an excellent job throughout, he was very good at finding the animals and commenting about them and teh envrironment. When he said ok we will look for a leopard, rhino or a cheetah it was not very long before we would find one. He was also flexible and accommodated our wishes.
Overall we were very happy with our Safari and would heartily recommend Multiways.

Fabulous 3-day Safari
5/5

We could not have been more satisfied with our experience with Safari Multiways during a recent 3-day safari covering Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara and Tarangire. From the outset, Romeo Rweza was upfront about the details and costs and quick to respond to our numerous queries in planning a trip tailored to our needs. The safari itself was flawless. It quickly became clear that Amos our friendly guide was very experienced and very sharp at spotting wildlife - including 3 male cheetah in Tarangire, with whom we had 30 minutes to ourselves before calling them in. If he was a little rusty on birdlife, that was a more a reflection on the usual priorities of the clients - he seemed to relish the opportunity to brush up on this. Accommodation-wise, we stayed at the very homely Rhino lodge at Ngorongoro and opted to pay a little extra and stay at the Lake Manyara Wildlife Lodge which provided a truly exceptional experience, including breakfast on a terrace to view dawn over the Rift Valley. Our trip was during the Easter low season. Perhaps we were just lucky, but we saw more wildlife than I'd seen on 6 previous high season trips to Tanzania's parks, were with far fewer vehicles / visitors in the parks, and all at very reasonable prices. I would both unreservedly recommend this operator and I would endorse a low season safari to the 3 parks we visited.

Awesone 5-Day Safari!
5/5

Before doing the safari we planned everything with the manager of Safari Multiways Romeo, he offered us multiple possibilities to customise the safari and accomodations according to our wishes and comparing different lodges that he proposed.
We had a great safari with the best guide of Tanzania - Amos. His spotting abilities were just incredible. Every day he tried to show us something new but it was a challenge, because we saw almost every species of wild life found in Tanzania, visiting Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Ndutu, vast plains of Serengeti and a descent to the crater.
Our "Old school" Land Cruiser could be more comfortable but did not let us down after more than 1250km of "African Massage" and offroad.
We are very happy that we have chosen Safari Multiways and would recommend it to everyone . The best quality/price ratio!

Nice 3 days safari (Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Manyara) which corresponded to price we paid.
4/5

Everything OK, especially accomodation in Rhino lodge which I can recommend to everybody. Exciting morning when we have seen buffalos and antilopes feeding next to our terrace. Great drive in Ngorongoro! Weak point was the car - need complete service.
