5/5

We had this trip in mind for a long time and Maturaf was very patient and has changed the itenarary many times to fulfill our requests.
The tour guide Amani who was the driver too was excelent vey knowledgable with hawk eyes that saw all the animals from far away.
We surey recommand Regional Tours to anyone who wants to experiance a Safari tour in Tanzania.

All in all great organization and a wonderful Safari
5/5

The communication with Maturaf the owner was good in advance (sometimes he did not answer very fast, but all in all he came back to all our questions and we had the feeling that he is taking care of our needs).
Our driver and guide in Tansania - Novatius - was very kind and we where totally happy with the Safari he did with us. Sometimes we had the feeling that it is not possible to do the trip excatly how it was promised before, because there are restrictions regarding the time you are allowed to stay in each national park so our guide had to change the program a little bit in order to make us see all the national parks that have been promised. But he did a great job to make us happy and in the end there there is nothing we could complain about, anyway.
Thank you Maturaf and thank you Novatius for this special experience!

FANTASTIC SAFARI IN TANZANIA
5/5

FANTASTIC SAFARI IN TANZANIA

I highly recommend the services of Regional Tours & Safaris. I had been doing research on tour companies and had almost overlooked the initial response from them. When I followed up by email, Maturaf called and WhatsApp me to find out more about what I was interested in so that he could make the right recommendations We choose the itineray “5 DAY MAGICAL TANZANIA MANYARA NGORONGORO SERENGETI from his website. We had several conversations and adjusted the itinerary and lodging according to our interests. I felt very comfortable that things would work out and they did - perfectly. Everything went very smoothly. The driver guide NOVA was a superb guide, easy to be with and able to spot animals at a distance. Maturaf discussed each of the lodging choices so that I felt comfortable with his recommendations. I truly appreciated the private safari as we spent much more time in the parks and did not need to return to the lodges for lunches. Instead we took box lunches (not particularly a fan of them but we preferred this to wasting time to get to the lodge, eat, and return to game drives). I did do some comparison shopping and felt the cost was reasonable. As this was a fairly expensive trip for us, I did take out travel insurance which I am happy to say we did not need.

I don't think you can go wrong by selecting Regional Tours & Safaris for your safari in Tanzania.

Amazing Honeymoon in Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Zanzibar Island
5/5

My husband and I spent 9 days with Regional Tours & Safaris and we had an incredible time Novatius as a driver guide all around Tanzania. He is so knowledgeable, passionate, and genuinely loves his job. While nature is nature and you can't be guaranteed to see "everything", Novatius made a huge effort to show us every animal we wanted to see, and as a result we were lucky to catch unique moments like the great wildebeest migration! He was so patient and would let us watch animals for as long as we wanted - at no point did we feel rushed to move on.

When planning the trip, Maturaf at the office was incredibly patient and helpful, answering our million questions and willing to adapt the itinerary to our needs and budget. In the end he designed the perfect trip for us that included 7 days on Luxury Tented camp safari and 4 days in Zanzibar. It made our honeymoon effortless!

I'd highly recommend planning your safari with Augustine. You will not only learn a lot about Tanzanian wildlife, but you will leave with a friend for life!

Great Safari
5/5

On our 7 day safari with Regional Tours in November we visited Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro national parks. Our guide Harun did a great job and we had a great safari. We saw a great number of animals. All the accomodations were excellent. The best one was in Serengeti (Kubu Kubu lodge) where we could watch wild animals right from our balcony. During the night we could hear a lion, hyennas and buffalos. An unforgettable experience.

Unforgettable experience
5/5

With Regional tours and safari's you get what you pay for and then some. We had an incredible safari experience thanks to our driver John who was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating and made sure we saw the big 5! All the places we stayed at were clean and comfortable with very friendly and welcoming staff. The food was great! All in all a top notch experience.

A Tremendous Experience
5/5

In August 2013, my wife and I enjoyed a 13 day journey with Regional Tours and Safaris, which I would highly Recommend. We travelled from Arusha to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorogoro to the Central and North Serengeti and then flew from Arusha to Zanzibar and after a day in Stonetown stayed at the Zanzibar Retreat hotel in Matemwe. It was the best vacation of our lives. Maturaf (in Zanzibar) and Alex (in Arusha office) were very helpful and all of the pickups and arrangements worked perfectly. Our guide Amani was a lovely man, a great driver and had remarkable vision and knowledge for viewing wildlife. We saw incredible numbers of zebra, wildebeest, giraffes, elephants, and lions and the odd leopard and cheetah. The accommodation was very comfortable and at times luxurious even in the bush of the north Serengeti. We would recommend that rather than backtracking by road to Arusha or Zanzibar, that you fly from the Seregeti and thereby save a day or two and a lot of mileage. Matemwe beach was a long white powder beach that seemed deserted at times and was great for long walks and swimming at high tide with great snorkling/scuba diving nearby. Regional Tours was priced reasonably compared to other companies who used the same land cruisers, provided the same food and accommodation and covered the same routes. I would highly recommend them.

Safari + Zanzibar
5/5

Excellent service and always on time. Safari trip was amazing with guide Emanuel, who is very knowledgeable and knows what he is doing. Very honest and always at right place at right time. Recommended Regional all the way especially Emanuel, who always went his extra mile for us to make the most of this experience.

Pre-travelling communication was a bit slow but Maturaf has even reached out to us on Messenger to put our minds at rest that all was being taken care of. During our trip he was in constant contact and he even went out of his way to book our ferry tickets from Dar Es Salaam for our transfer back home.

A few hiccups, but great overall.
5/5

Our Regional Tours organised safari was really good. Communication beforehand was not the greatest, with questions asked by email not being answered, and options not being offered, and we were very disappointed when a visit to the Olduvai Gorge that we had specifically asked to be included in the itinerary did not eventuate. Our driver and guide, Immanuel (of Mama Savannah), was not the most communicative, but he knew his stuff, and got us to where we needed to be to see some great stuff (except the aforementioned Olduvai Gorge). He definitely lied to us on a couple of occasions, which was very disappointing. There was a mix up at our second stop where some supposedly included activities were not included, so we had to pay an extra US$80, but this was reimbursed to us later. Our luggage was delayed, and Regional tours was very good about getting our bags for us. Overall the organisation of the trip was excellent, and the execution really good, with only the few small quibbles mentioned above stopping it from being superb. For an 8-day Safari and 11 day trip overall, in a 3rd-world country, it's almost surprising that everything else came together so well. Payment by Bank Transfer from our New Zealand Bank's online website was very straightforward for us.

Excellent Value on 2 person private tour
5/5

Regional did an excellent job, especially with the accommodations (they were all exceptional). We had a very knowledgeable driver and we saw the big 5. Their communication was good (not great)-- best to Skype them. They also should have given us better guidance about the timing of the Great Migration, as we would have timed our visit differently, but overall a wonderful trip, and would highly recommend them.
