Perfect! Not just once, but Twice!
5/5

I have been to Africa 5 times and have had some really good safaris and some really bad ones. I've used Kenya_Tanzania Safaris the last 2 times and have had prefect experiences both times. Susan is amazing to work with in planning and Niko and the other guides are absolutely the very best! They listen carefully to what you would like to see and experience and make sure it happens for you. I was a bit nervous to go back this last time because the one before was so perfect. I didn't think I could experience perfect twice. But I did.

5/5

I have just experienced the most amazing trip of my life, traveling to Kenya and Tanzania, experiencing such awe-inspiring wonders of Africa as the Masai Mara National Reserve, the Serengeti National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, and many, many more places indelibly impressed in my memory.

One might have qualms about venturing out on safari into the wilds of Africa, but from the time we landed in the heart of our destination to the time we departed, we were safe and well taken care of in every respect. Thanks to Niko at Destination Consultants, our trip was scheduled out each day, starting with a huge breakfast and then off on a new part of our safari to see one jaw-dropping sight after another, then an amazing lunch and a little nap, off to another safari, before stopping during the evening for good food, a shower, and surprisingly comfortable sleeping accommodations.

Our Land Rovers were driven by guides (Niko, Elliot, Jackson, and Raymond) who had a great breadth and depth of knowledge about the incredible sights in front of us. They shared their knowledge about the massive, thriving ecosystem that lay before us. There was so much to see, but plenty of time to observe and discuss and photograph every aspect of the fauna, flora, and rugged geography. We were also taken to an old tribal village, where we discovered features of the lifestyle of the tribal people of the area – defensive stone walls, sturdy huts to house the tribesman’s wives and children, as well as food sources, cooking utensils and techniques, and means of obtaining water.

But animals! So many animals in their normal habitat! Huge, large, normal, and tiny! Land, water, and sky! Monstrous, powerful, ugly, graceful, beautiful, peaceful herbivores and hungry carnivores! When speaking of African animal life, though, one must see the spectacle called The Great Migration (sometimes called The Great Wildebeest Migration), where millions of wildebeests and thousands of plains animals trek in a huge clockwise circle, from the Serengeti Plains of Tanzania to the Masai Mara in Kenya and the return, searching for lush grazing grounds and life-giving water. It is their cycle of life. And we had a front row seat to their struggle!

The last day of our safari experience, we spent time at the Gebra Memorial School, a struggling educational institution serving the Maasai children from the Meserani village of Arusha, Tanzania. These children are very thankful for the schooling provided for them there. Our group gave some useful gifts and money to help the school and its students, they had gifts for us as well. The children were very sweet, singing songs for us to show their appreciation. We left feeling very good about our visit.

Our group was made up of three generations, grandparents down to an eight-year-old, and all were enthralled in what appeared before us each day. We loved every moment of it. We grew closer together as we came to understand that our journey was part of a larger journey taking place on a massive scale. This journey and the effect it had on us will remain with us forever. Our thirteen days of the safari were unforgettable, and we would not change a thing.

And again, I must give great thanks to Niko at Destination Consultants for the special care he took to provide our group with everything we needed. For example, the airline lost the luggage belonging to my roommate and me, and Niko went out of his way to track it down and see that it was delivered to us.

This trip exceeded all of our expectations!
5/5

It’s been a couple of months since we returned from our private Kenya and Tanzania safari arranged by The Destination Consultants. Boaz and Susan were easy to communicate with and provided us with all the information we needed to make this a once in a lifetime trip. We were very impressed with all aspects of our safari and especially with our guides Eliud in Kenya and Raymond in Tanzania. They were fantastic guides! It was very obvious they both were extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the parks and animals we saw. And we all learned so much about the animals and the Massai people. The tented camps were well equipped - internet was a plus! The food was excellent, as were all the staff at the camps. The EnkaKenya Camp was a real treat - we received first class service and meals there. We did have more “African massages” than we remembered from our 2009 safari to Kenya! Be assured that should we ever have the opportunity to return to Kenya we will be in touch with you.

Dependable, Caring and effusive- Will we go again with his tour company? A definite Yes.
5/5

In August 2023, our group of 14 embarked on a 10-day private safari across Kenya and Tanzania, a journey we began planning nearly a year prior. Throughout the process, Niko and Susan were instrumental in ensuring our experience was seamless, even though there were occasional communication delays.

Upon our arrival at Nairobi Airport, Susan warmly welcomed us. We had a free day in Nairobi before our tour began, and at our request, Niko promptly arranged a van, allowing us to explore the city thoroughly.

Our adventure took us through Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara, North Serengeti, Central Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Amboseli national parks. The first, second, and last parks are located in Kenya, while the others are in Tanzania.

Our guides, handpicked by Niko, were not only knowledgeable but also went above and beyond to enhance our experience. In Kenya, Adson and George led the way, followed by Adson and Julius. In Tanzania, Denis and Alfany took the reins. Their kindness, patience, and passion for nature were evident as they introduced us to the wonders of the wild. We were fortunate to witness the diverse fauna, including the "Big 5", and the awe-inspiring great migration of wildebeests from Tanzania to Kenya across the Mara River.

Our stays at the Serena hotels, Lion Sarova in Nakuru, the Canvas tents under the Mara, and Ole Sarai camp were nothing short of luxurious. Throughout the trip, Niko maintained close communication with our guides, ensuring every detail was perfect.

On behalf of our group, I extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved. This journey has etched unforgettable memories in our hearts.

A Memorable Trip to Kenya and Tanzania
4/5

Nico from Destination Consultants was very helpful and patient when arranging our trip to Kenya and Tanzania. We opted for a 12 day private guided tour whereby we had three different tour guides in that time. The first vehicle we travelled in from Nairobi from Tanzania was not great as the seats were so high and the windows were low so it was not great for motion sickness however the driver allowed me to sit in the front seat which was fine, the vehicle we had on our second leg was a proper safari vehicle which was great. The itinerary suggested was quite good although could have left out Lake Navaisha which had a few hand fed hippos out the back and that was it, so our time could have been better spent elsewhere. The accommodation overall was excellent except for Tukaone Camps in Serengeti which was below average. The camp itself was on a lean, the food was average and we did not have hot water until the day before we left. What made it more disappointing was that this camp was not where we were supposed to stay as I had requested to stay at another camp. Before undertaking this tour, we did a 16 day group tour through South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana which we did a variety a of activities such as hiking, canoeing into the delta and Safari drives. This particular tour only had safari drives for its activities which is perfect if it was the only place you were going in Africa but for us, we found the safaris became repetitious towards the end of the trip.

Professional service - Excellent safari guides
5/5

We - 4 adults - approached Kenya Tanzania Safari in order to tailor an individual trip for us visiting the following 5 nationalparks and come up with suggestions to accommodations as well
Masai Mara Game Reserve
Serengeti National Park
Ngorongoro Crater
Tarangire
Amboseli
The booking process was professional and our questions was replied swiftly. The safari was a great experience and we saw all we wanted to see and was blessed with very nice guides that knew pretty much everything we asked about. The accommodation – medium std – more than met our expectations as well
We had 8 days and would probably leave out Tarangire should we go again and use the extra time at Amboseli or Serengeti in stead.
I huge thanks to Niki, Eliud and Augustino for giving us a once in a lifetime experience.

Very professional, responsive and knowledgeable - someone you can trust
5/5

We just finished a trip of a lifetime!! It exceeded all our expectations. The team at Destination Consultants was just fabulous, We started the process almost 10 months back. Throughout this time, Niko and Sue were very patient and answered all our questions. They made many recommendations and advised as it was our first trip to Africa. What patience and professionalism they have! Sue came to see us in the morning and Niko made sure that he met us on the way.

The trip went flawlessly from the airport pickup to the safaris in Masai Mara, Lake Nukuru and Samburu. Our guide, Julius was just amazing - very experienced, knowledgable, helpful and simply a great human being. He was very proactive, and wanted to make sure that we got the most from our visit. With over twenty years of experience, he pretty much knew every corners of these places. With a wide network of fellow guides, he always knew where to go to see the best action. Even other guides would ask him where to go. We saw two incidents of Cheetahs hunting (https://youtu.be/ZnpB0ddWG64) and off course big 5 in both Masai Mara and Samburu.

The road trips from Masai Mara to Samburu and back to Nairobi were awesome as he would tell us all about the local areas, customs as well as politics.

Julius helped arranged picnic lunches as well as a sundowner. We wanted to see the sunset in African Savannahs, and even though we were running late, he made sure that he took us to the best place to see the sunset. We had special dietary requirement, and we worked with the camps to coordinate everything.

We'd recommend getting a 4x4 LandCruiser for this trip as we saw some other vehicles with modified vans not able to get closer to some of the action, and getting stuck. The cost of a LandCruiser is well worth it.

This was our first trip to Africa. We didn’t know what to expect. We would highly recommend Destination Consultants, and the guide Julius again and again!

Excellent service taking care of every detail.
5/5

We had a most wonderful experience thanks to Susan and Niko at Destination Consultants. We visited Morocco and Egypt prior to our safari adventure in Kenya and Tanzania and they took care of all the details for us, accommodations, meals and guided tours. We were greeted at the airports every time we traveled and getting through the necessary checkpoints and visa requirements were perfectly managed for our group of 8. We had no issues whatsoever at any time with travel requirements or our tour arrangements. The guides were excellent and extremely attentive to every official detail as well as our personal experiences. Our guides were very knowledgeable on history of the places visited, truly a wealth of information on all the places we visited in each location.
The safari's were beyond compare in every aspect, food, accommodations, and seeing all the magnificent animals. It was the perfect adventure and our drivers/guides were over the top. A huge thank you to Mohamed in Egypt, Erik, Tony, Jackson and to Susan and Niko for making it our trip of a lifetime! Destination Consultants did not miss any details, if we get the opportunity to go again I would certainly call Susan and Niko. Sincere thanks to everyone that we had the privilege of spending time with.

Professional
5/5

From the very first email, or Destination Consultant, Niko answered every question and met our every need. Communication was clear, prompt, and accurate. We had considered booking with a much more expensive group, but after reviewing itineraries, we realized that Destination Consultants could provide us with the same itinerary and experiences at a much better value! We were taken care of, like family, from the moment we stepped out of the airport until we returned for our flight home.
