Absolutely stellar, stunning, incredible location. I never thought that one could become bored by leopards. They are so plentiful that this practically occurred. You go to South Africa for the wildlife. You would be doing yourself a disservice not to visit Sabi Sands.

This reserve offers the quintessential African Safari with sunset and sunrise game drives and lazy midday relaxation sessions in opulent surrounds

Sabi Sands has all the animals of Kruger but is a different experience as it is guide led game drives. Here you will get the luxury safari experience. The Guides know when and how to find the animals so your are likely to have excellent sightings. You will be comfortable and well fed. Here I found the safari experience featured in magazines with huts overlooking rivers, nice food around a fire, etc.

Good for Big 5 sightings , and Birding is superior

We saw the big five and even two packs of wild dog. The vehicles are in radio contact so as soon as something interesting is spotted, everyone can make their way there to see. The accommodation was also far more luxurious than in Kruger and the food was infinitely better.

Sabi sabi Game reserve is a grest place and you get to go very close to the animals. The accommodation where we stayed was also perfect. I would however consider going two different places for a safari, combining sabi sabi with another place where there are more water spots where animals gather (especially in winter time) and it is more likely to see for example big herds.

We saw all the animals we wanted to see and more.
I didn’t see too many birds as in other places but I am extremely happy with our experience.
