This 7-day/6-night itinerary centers on Botswana's iconic habituated meerkats around the Makgadikgadi Pans, combined with the dramatic zebra migration and ancient baobabs in Nxai Pan National Park. December is peak green season: lush grasslands draw thousands of zebras (with foals), thunderstorms create epic skies, and meerkats are highly active foraging in the open. Gweta serves as the gateway for close-up meerkat encounters (often climbing on visitors!).
