This eight-day trip includes arrival in Arusha and a seven-day Kilimanjaro trek on the Machame route. Ascend through rainforest to the Shira Plateau, then continue via Barranco, Karanga and Barafu before the summit attempt and descent through Mweka. Mountain nights are spent camping. This is a strenuous high-altitude trek, and reaching the summit depends on health, acclimatisation and weather.
