The diversity in Arusha National park is amazing. Especially the rainforest part. I felt like Alice in wonderland. Thousands and thousands of butterflies, beautiful trees and lightfall through the trees, then the scenery changes in mountains and lakes full of flamingo's. Wildlife is everywhere. Go there!

I visited the park to climb Mount Meru and do a game walk or two. Walking through the bush with buffalo nearby is an unreal experience (you are accompanied by an armed ranger). The climb to Mount Meru's summit is quite tough, but there are good cabins along the way which are warm and well kept. Spectacular views from the park including the sun rising behind Kilimanjaro.

Not much excitement here the alternatives of Ngorongoro , Tarangire and manyara or even serengeti are better

Nice forest and mountains, a good change from the plains.

Birding was spectacular! Other wildlife was amazing but not as diverse as the other parks we visited.

A totally different vibe to this park from all the rest... the lush greenery, low hanging clouds, it's just a magical place. And the giraffes are rampant here!

Arusha is a special little park, easily explored in a day. In that wondrously diverse day, one can glimpse black and white colobus monkeys in trees on crater's edge. Cape buffalo graze the swampy crater floor, and flamingos pink the lake shores. The adventurous can walk the dramatic ridges of Mt. Meru.
