Game Drive in Lake Manyara

At 08:00 AM, your safari guide will pick you up from your lodge and begin the drive to Lake Manyara National Park, located approximately two hours away. Upon arrival, enjoy a scenic game drive through the park, renowned for its tree-climbing lions, large elephant herds, and vibrant birdlife such as flamingos, pelicans, and storks along the lake shore. Around midday, pause for a picnic lunch in one of the park’s designated areas. In the afternoon, continue exploring different sections of the park, including forests, open plains, and hot springs, for more wildlife sightings. By late afternoon, depart for Karatu, a charming town in the Ngorongoro Highlands (about a 1-hour drive). Arrive at your lodge in time to relax and enjoy dinner.

Game drive Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, at around 08:00 AM, check out of your lodge and begin the short drive (approximately 30–40 minutes) to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations. Upon arrival at the crater rim, descend 600 meters into the vast crater floor for an unforgettable game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five—lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, and leopards—as well as zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and a wide variety of bird species. Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the crater or near the crater’s edge. In the afternoon, continue exploring key areas such as Lake Magadi, known for its flocks of flamingos and other waterbirds. After an enriching day of wildlife viewing, ascend from the crater and return to Karatu (approximately 40 minutes’ drive). Arrive at your lodge in time to relax, enjoy dinner, and unwind for the evening.
