Along the way, depending on the day of your visit, you’ll stop at one of the vibrant local tribal markets. If your trip falls on Thursday, you’ll visit the Keyafer Market, a bustling scene filled with colorful produce, livestock, and local crafts. Alternatively, on Tuesday, you’ll experience the Aldduba Market, where regional goods and artisan products are exchanged. On Saturday, the Dimeka Market awaits, offering a lively atmosphere with traditional clothing, jewelry, and food. If your visit coincides with Monday, you’ll visit Turmi Market, the largest in the area, where different tribes come together to trade, socialize, and showcase their wares.

Drive 70 km south from Turmi to meet the Dassanech people, known as the "people of the delta," whose lives are intricately connected to the Omo River. After engaging with the Dassanech and learning about their culture and traditions, return to Turmi for lunch. If it coincides with a market day, explore the local market for a taste of regional commerce and culture. Additionally, you may have the opportunity to witness the optional Bull Jumping Ceremony, a significant cultural event. Overnight accommodations will be at Paradise Lodge in Turmi.

Embark on a 65 km drive west from Turmi to the village of the Kara tribe, renowned for their intricate body and facial paintings. Nestled by the picturesque Omo River, the village offers a unique opportunity to engage with the Kara people. You will visit a local family who will host a traditional coffee ceremony, allowing for an authentic cultural exchange and conversation. After this enriching experience, return to Turmi for lunch. If your visit coincides with a market day—Monday, Thursday, or Saturday—you can explore the vibrant tribal market. Additionally, depending on availability, you may witness the Hamar tribe's Bull Jumping Ceremony or the Evangadi Dancing Ceremony, both of which showcase the rich cultural heritage of the region.

After breakfast, embark on a 200 km drive to Konso, making a stop to visit the Arbore tribe, an agricultural and pastoral community residing in the desert area near Lake Stephanie, who communicate in a Cushitic language. The journey continues to Konso, renowned for its unique terracing skills and ancient villages that date back over 1000 years, recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site. The Konso people are also known for their wooden statues, or totems, called “waka,” which honor heroes and chiefs. Overnight accommodations will be at Kanta Lodge in Konso.

On this day, you will explore the UNESCO World Heritage site of Konso village, where you will encounter the ancient fortress walls, community houses known as Mora, and the significant generation poles that mark the lineage of the Konso people. A visit to the chief's compound will allow you to meet the chief at his traditional palace, followed by a 20-minute walk to the ancestral graveyard nestled in the forest. After this enriching experience, you will travel to Arba Minch for lunch before proceeding to the Dorze people's village, situated atop Guge Mountain at an altitude of 2,400 meters. Here, you will savor traditional Dorze cuisine made from the False Banana (Enset) plant and witness the local craftsmanship in weaving and pottery. Your day will conclude with an overnight stay at Haile Resort Arba Minch.
