With your packed picnic lunch, depart from Arusha for a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its large elephant population. Experience the unique blend of spectacular wildlife and the traditional Maasai way of life. Tarangire offers unmatched game viewing, especially in the dry season when elephant families gather beneath ancient baobab trees and strip bark from acacias. Early breakfast, then with your picnic lunch drive to the world-famous Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying a game drive en route. You’ll have the chance to spot Africa’s Big Five — lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and (seasonally) rhino — along with hippos, zebras, wildebeest, cheetahs, hyenas, and Thomson’s gazelles, among many others. The Seronera area, known as a wildlife paradise, offers sightings of thousands of animals and, depending on the season, the dramatic wildebeest migration. Continue with an afternoon game drive, then dinner and overnight at the Serengeti Classic View Camp or similar.

After landing, enjoy an early breakfast with your packed picnic lunch, then embark on another exciting game drive in Serengeti National Park. This is your chance to encounter the “Big Four” — Lions, Elephants, Buffalos, and Leopards — along with many other fascinating wildlife species. In the afternoon, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing through the legendary Olduvai Gorge, believed to be the cradle of humankind where Dr. Leakey discovered the skull of Homo sapiens. En route enjoy a complimentary Maasai Boma visit to experience the unique culture and traditions of the Maasai people. After breakfast, descend into the world’s seventh wonder, the Ngorongoro Crater, a magnificent caldera formed by tectonic movements that created the Great Rift Valley. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, including big cats and over 400 bird species. Enjoy a game drive inside the crater until late afternoon, with opportunities to see all the Big Five—Lions, Elephants, Rhinos, Buffaloes, and Leopards—alongside other wildlife such as Hippos, Zebras, Wildebeests, Cheetahs, Hyenas, and Thomson’s Gazelles. In the late afternoon, ascend to the crater rim and drive back to Arusha Town, with drop-off at your hotel of choice or the airport for your onward flight, marking the end of a wonderful safari with us.
