Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Early morning after having breakfast at your accommodation in Arusha at around 0730hrs or according to your preferred time, you will drive straight to Tarangire National Park which takes approximately 2.5hrs. Tarangire National Park is famous for the largest African elephants as well as the huge baobab trees and the mini-wildlife migration with more than 250,000 animals. It is one of the largest parks with an area of more than 2600 square kilometers.
You will also get a unique opportunity to see different animal species such as large numbers of impalas, elands, giraffes, buffaloes, Thompson’s gazelle and gerenuk. Other animals that you will encounter are such as the wildebeests and zebras, leopards, lions, hyenas, and cheetah that seem to be popular within the southern open areas. You will be served with hot picnic lunch in the afternoon at around 1230hrs.
In the evening, you will drive straight to your lodge for refreshment, well prepared dinner and overnight stay.

Early morning after breakfast at around 8:00am, you will drive straight to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and stop at a viewing point. After that you will descend down to the crater which is 600m deep. The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtakingly beautiful setting and the best place in East Africa to see the Big Five. It is one of the most beautiful natural wildlife safari sites in the world and an exceptional place to interact with people from the Maasai tribe. On reaching the crater’s edge, the 20 km diameter caldera opens up before you in all its stunning glory and you will descend into the crater on an adventurous trail. This World Heritage Site is seasonally home to over 25,000 animals including a wide range of birds’ species, hyenas and the endangered black rhino. Hot Lunch will be served at a picnic spot at the hippo pool and after that you will drive straight to the heart of Serengeti National Park. You will have an en-route drive to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

Serengeti National Park to Karatu

Early morning after breakfast at around 8:00 am or according to your preference, you will continue exploring the endless plains of the Serengeti National Park for a half day game drive. The Serengeti National Park is home to the largest concentration of wildlife than anywhere else on the planet.
The park offers a multitude of wildlife including the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard. Hot lunch will be served inside the park at around 12:30pm with some soft drinks and unlimited drinking water.
You will have a final game drive until in the afternoon at around 3pm where you will drive straight to the gate and head for your accommodation in Karatu passing through Ngorongoro conservation area for dinner and overnight stay.

Hadzabe and Datoga Community Tour, and Transfer back to Arusha

Meet the Hadzabe community, also known as the bushmen. They are the last hunter-gatherers found in Tanzania’s Rift Valley. The Hadzabe community will welcome you into their ancestral home, and go for a hunt in the bush as they search for their daily meal, and later you’ll return to their community, and they’ll demonstrate their hunting skills as you participate with the young, energetic members of the community. Later, you will visit the Datoga people, skilled metalworkers and farmers, and renowned ironworkers.

After the tour, you’ll head back to your hotel for a hot lunch and drive back to Arusha for dinner and overnight.
If you would like to have an extra night in Arusha, we can arrange that for you, or if you are flying, we will drive you straight to the airport to catch your onward flight.
