Begin your adventure with a 05:00 a.m. pick-up from your luxury tented lodge and transfer by Jeep to the balloon launch site. After a safety briefing, watch the balloon inflate and at dawn lift off as the sun rises over the Serengeti. After breakfast, descend into the world’s seventh wonder, the Ngorongoro Crater. This spectacular caldera was formed by the immense movements of the Earth that created the Rift Valley. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to a remarkable variety of wildlife, including the “Big Cats,” and over 400 species of birds. Enjoy a game drive inside the crater until late afternoon, with opportunities to see all of the Big Five—Lions, Elephants, Rhinos, Buffaloes, and Leopards—as well as many other animals such as Hippos, Zebras, Wildebeests, Cheetahs, Hyenas, and Thomson’s Gazelles. After the game drive, ascend to the crater rim and continue to your lodge in Karatu, where you will arrive in the evening for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge.

Lake Manyara is also famous for climbing lions and flamingos along the lakeshore.
