Depart from Arusha in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park. Spend the day on a game drive in this scenic park, famous for its giant baobabs, rolling hills, and large herds of elephants. Other highlights include giraffes, wildebeest, buffalo, and predators like lions and leopards. With over 400 bird species, Tarangire is also a paradise for birdwatchers. After a picnic lunch in the park, continue your game drive before driving to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.

Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, head to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most remarkable wildlife havens on Earth. Descend 600 meters to the crater floor for a full day game drive. Here you can spot lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, flamingos, and if you are lucky, the endangered black rhino. The crater’s unique ecosystem ensures incredible wildlife density, making it a photographer’s paradise. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the hippo pool before continuing your exploration. In the late afternoon, ascend the crater rim and return to Karatu for overnight.

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a small but diverse park with a stunning soda lake, lush groundwater forests, and open savannas. Enjoy a morning game drive, with chances to see tree climbing lions, elephants, giraffes, and large troops of baboons. Bird lovers will enjoy spotting pelicans, flamingos, and hornbills around the lake. After a picnic lunch in the park, continue your game drive before heading back to Arusha, arriving by late afternoon.
