4-Day Masai Mara Safari – Mid-Range Camp at Talek Gate

Maasai Mara Cultural Tour & Sundowner Experience

Begin your Masai Mara safari with a pick-up from your Nairobi residence at 7:00am and drive through the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Your camp is located just 100m (328ft) from Talek Gate, where you will arrive in time for lunch.

After check-in and some relaxation, visit a nearby local village for a one-hour Maasai cultural experience, where you will learn about the traditions and way of life of the Maasai people.

At 5:30pm, enjoy a sundowner overlooking the Masai Mara savannah as you watch the beautiful sun go down. Return to camp for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.

Unlimited Game Viewing Drives & Mara River Walking Safari

Early in the morning, enjoy a full English breakfast at 6:00am before entering the main reserve for a full day of game drives. You will search for lions, cheetahs, leopards, antelopes and elephant herds among many other species.

Around midday, take a walking safari along the banks of the Mara River, where you can spot hippo families, crocodiles and other wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the riverbank or under a shaded picnic tree. Continue with afternoon game drives, exploring more areas in search of additional wildlife.

After a beautiful day in the reserve, return to camp at sunset for relaxation, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

Morning & Afternoon Game Drives

Today, experience two game drives – one in the morning and another in the afternoon. After breakfast, enter the main reserve, or depart at sunrise with a picnic breakfast to continue your search for wildlife. Return to camp for a hot lunch and some relaxation before heading back into the savannah for more wildlife encounters.

Enjoy watching the sunset before returning to camp for dinner and an overnight stay. Alternatively, you may choose to enjoy a full day of game viewing with a picnic lunch.

Drive Back to Nairobi

This morning, wake up at leisure and enjoy breakfast at camp. You may also choose to take an optional one-hour hot air balloon ride over the Masai Mara, followed by a bush champagne breakfast. Check out of camp at 9:00am and begin your journey back to the city.

Along the way, stop at community shops for souvenir shopping and enjoy a hot lunch at your own expense.

Upon arrival in the city, you will be dropped off at your residence or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to continue your safari.
