Day 1

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

Discover the hidden gem of northern Tanzania with a visit to Tarangire National Park, just a scenic two-hour drive west of Arusha. Known for its majestic baobab trees and sweeping landscapes, Tarangire is especially stunning in the green season when the park bursts to life. In the dry season, the Tarangire River draws huge herds of buffalo, wildebeest, and zebra, creating one of Africa’s most spectacular wildlife gatherings. But the park’s true stars are its elephants—large resident herds that offer unforgettable close encounters year-round. After an exciting full-day game drive and a picnic lunch in the wild, we’ll continue to Marera Valley Lodge in Karatu, perfectly located near the Ngorongoro Highlands, where comfort and nature meet. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a seasoned explorer, Tarangire promises a safari experience rich in wildlife, beauty, and tranquility.

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater

On the second day of our journey, we head to the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most breathtaking natural wonders. This massive volcanic caldera is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, often called the eighth wonder of the world for its staggering beauty and extraordinary wildlife density. As we descend 600 meters into the crater, we enter a self-contained ecosystem that’s home to lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, and the elusive black rhinoceros. The fertile plains, soda lakes, and acacia forests offer perfect conditions for game viewing, making it one of the few places in Africa where you may spot the Big Five in a single game drive. After a memorable morning of exploration and a scenic lunch in the crater, we begin our return to Arusha, bringing an unforgettable safari experience to a close.
