Nairobi - Samburu

Depart Nairobi early in the morning and drive north through scenic Kenyan countryside and the foothills of Mount Kenya. Arrive at your accommodation in time for lunch. After a short rest, enjoy your first afternoon game drive, exploring the reserve’s semi-arid plains. Here, you will have a chance to spot the Samburu Special Five. Grevy’s zebra, Reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Gerenuk (the giraffe antelope), Somali ostrich.

Other wildlife includes large herds of African elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and numerous bird species. Return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay under the stars.

After enjoying breakfast, you will depart from the camp and begin the drive back to Nairobi. Along the way, you will make a stop in Nanyuki for lunch and a chance to stretch your legs. Continue the scenic journey through the stunning landscapes until you arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel or directly at the airport, depending on your travel plans.
