Also, you can enjoy keen wildlife photography at this time. The Masai Mara is one of East Africa’s top safari destinations, renowned for its exceptional populations of lions, African leopards, cheetahs, and African bush elephants.

This day will be spent on viewing Kenya’s finest wildlife park in search of Africa’s Big Five, which include African elephants, lions, leopards, Cape buffalos, and rhinos. You can expect to see other animals like giraffes, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyenas, topis, impalas, wildebeests, zebras, and hippos. It is also common to see lions basking after a heavy meal. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot but reasonably common.

Due to the wide variety of habitats, more than 470 bird species, both resident and migrant, can be found in the Masai Mara. Common birds are ostriches, secretary birds, grey-crowned cranes, turacos, white-backed vultures, pelicans, herons, southern ground hornbills, hammerkop and storks.
