After breakfast, drive south from Addis Ababa to Hawassa. Visit a natural hot spring where boiling water bubbles at nearly 90°C, a fascinating geological wonder. Continue to Hawassa, one of Ethiopia’s most charming lakeside cities. Hawassa to Arba Minch via Dorze Village

Begin the morning at Hawassa’s bustling fish market, where fishermen haul in the day’s catch and vervet monkeys play along the lakefront. Drive south to Arba Minch and, in the afternoon, ascend to the highlands of Chencha to visit the Dorze people. Continue to Turmi, the heartland of the Hamar people. In the afternoon, explore a Hamar village, and if the timing aligns, attend a local market. The Hamar are renowned for their ornate hairstyles, body adornments, and traditional ceremonies, including the famous bull-jumping ritual.
