Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire

Arusha to Tarangire

Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha. After a short briefing, you'll join your group and set off on a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, approximately 2–3 hours away. Tarangire is one of Tanzania’s most beautiful and underrated parks, known for its giant baobab trees, rolling savannahs, and the seasonal Tarangire River, which attracts large herds of animals especially elephants.

Enjoy a full-day game drive, with your expert guide helping you spot wildlife such as lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and a wide variety of birds. A picnic lunch will be served at one of the park's scenic picnic sites.

In the late afternoon, exit the park and drive to your accommodation near Lake Manyara, where you'll have dinner and spend the night. You can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, reflecting on the day’s sightings.

Lake Manyara to Arusha

After breakfast, head into Lake Manyara National Park, located just a short drive from your accommodation. This park is compact but incredibly rich in biodiversity. It's famous for its lush groundwater forest, flamingo-lined lake, and tree-climbing lions (a rare behavior seen in very few places).

You’ll enjoy a half-day game drive, exploring different habitats that support a variety of wildlife including hippos, monkeys, antelopes, and hundreds of bird species. If you're lucky, you may spot a lion lounging in a tree or elephants roaming near the water’s edge.

After the game drive, enjoy lunch and begin the return journey to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon. Your guide will drop you off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your 2-day safari experience.
