The tour begins with a drive from Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve in northern Kenya, which typically takes 5-6 hours. During the drive, travelers can see green coffee plantations and catch glimpses of Mount Kenya. Following lunch upon arrival, an afternoon game drive introduces you to Samburu’s distinctive wildlife, including the “Samburu Special Five,” such as the Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, and Grevy’s zebra. African wild dogs also inhabit this dry terrain. Lodging is usually near the reserve.

Today will be spent exploring Samburu, which is famous for its diverse wildlife congregating near the Ewaso Ng'iro River. The game drives offer opportunities to spot leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, and antelopes, along with the unique species found in this region. You can also experience local culture by visiting with the indigenous Samburu people.

Day 3

Embark on your journey south, traveling from the arid northern region of Samburu towards the Laikipia Plateau and Mount Kenya area, a drive of approximately 2.5 to 4 hours. Upon arrival at the conservancy, check in and have lunch. Later, enjoy an afternoon game drive in Ol Pejeta Conservancy, where you can experience its breathtaking landscapes and diverse wildlife. The conservancy is home to the largest black rhino population in East Africa, as well as a chimpanzee sanctuary, among other attractions.
Later, you will return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Depart Ol Pejeta Conservancy for Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru offers a compact and thrilling wildlife experience centered around a lake famous for its flocks of flamingos, endangered rhino sanctuaries, and scenic acacia woodland. The park is home to both black and white rhinoceros, with over 150 individuals in a protected sanctuary. Thousands of greater and lesser flamingos, along with pelicans, fill the lake shores, creating a "sea of pink."
On arrival, check in and have lunch. Later you will enjoy a late afternoon game drive, then spend the evening at your leisure.

Today you will drive from Lake Nakuru to Kenya's most renowned park, Masai Mara National Reserve, a journey of approximately six hours. The route passes through the Great Rift Valley and the Maasai town of Narok. Arrive in time for lunch, then enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara, with opportunities to see the "Big Five" (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo) and a rich ecosystem of over 95 mammal species. The park is especially known for its high density of big cats.

Day 6

Spend a full day in the Masai Mara looking for wildlife. Between July and October, during the Great Migration, visitors may witness the spectacular Mara River crossing, where wildebeest and zebras struggle against strong currents and Nile crocodiles. Game drives can continue throughout the day, with the option of a picnic lunch in the park. A sunrise hot air balloon ride is available as an optional experience, offering a unique view of the landscape and wildlife. Cultural visits to a Maasai village are also available.

After breakfast, your final day includes a return drive to Nairobi, which typically takes 5–6 hours. Arrive in time for your onward travel arrangements. Depending on your departure time, there may be an opportunity to visit some of Nairobi’s sights, such as the Giraffe Centre or the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage.
