Day 1

Your adventure begins after an early breakfast in Arusha as your driver-guide picks you up for the long yet scenic journey into Serengeti National Park. The drive takes around 7–8 hours, with a picnic lunch stop in the Ngorongoro Highlands. Along the way, pass colourful towns, Maasai villages, and sweeping Rift Valley escarpments before the landscape opens into the boundless Serengeti plains. By mid-afternoon, you’ll enter the Central Serengeti, where herds of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and prides of lions roam. Enjoy your first exciting game drive before heading to Signature Serengeti for dinner and overnight. Optional extras today include a sundowner and pre-booking a balloon safari for the next morning. Day 2

Serengeti Central – North Serengeti

Wake up early for a hearty breakfast, followed by a morning game drive in the Central Serengeti, where predators are most active at sunrise. Later, begin your journey northward through changing landscapes, a 4–5 hour drive with a picnic lunch enjoyed under the shade of an acacia tree. Along the way, marvel at vast herds of wildebeest stretching to the horizon, cheetahs on the hunt, and vultures circling above. By mid-afternoon, arrive at the northern sector near the Mara River, the stage of the legendary migration crossings. Check in at Safari Haven Migration Camp, perfectly located for migration sightings. Spend the late afternoon relaxing before dinner, or enjoy sundowners overlooking the plains. After breakfast, set out on a full-day exploration of the northern Serengeti. This day is dedicated to following the Great Migration and experiencing the thrill of wildebeest and zebra river crossings along the Mara River. Expect to spend 6–8 hours in the bush, with a picnic lunch enjoyed at a scenic riverside spot. Thousands of animals surge across crocodile-infested waters while predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas lie in wait, nature’s drama at its peak. Between crossings, explore the surrounding woodlands where elephants and buffalo move quietly. Return to camp in the late afternoon for relaxation and a hot shower before dinner under the stars. Begin your day with breakfast at camp and one last game drive in the north before departing south toward the Ngorongoro Highlands. This scenic drive of 6–7 hours passes through golden savannahs, volcanic hills, and Maasai homesteads, with a picnic lunch enjoyed en route. By late afternoon, you’ll reach the cool, misty highlands surrounding the Crater. Check in at a Midrange Lodge, where sweeping views and fresh mountain air provide the perfect retreat after days in the Serengeti. Spend the evening relaxing by the fireplace or join a guided highland walk for birdwatching and cultural encounters. Dinner is served overlooking the escarpment, accompanied by the sounds of nature. Day 5

Rise early for breakfast before descending 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A half-day game drive (5–6 hours) offers sightings of more than 25,000 animals, from black rhinos and massive tusker elephants to lions, hyenas, and large herds of buffalo. Flamingos colour the soda lakes pink, while hippos wallow lazily in the water. Lunch will be a picnic at one of the designated sites on the crater floor, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Afterwards, ascend the crater rim and begin the 4-hour drive back to Arusha, arriving by late afternoon. Breakfast and picnic lunch are included. Optional activities before departure include shopping for Tanzanian crafts.
