Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi. Drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley, pausing at scenic viewpoints to admire the escarpment and capture photographs. Continue across the countryside towards the Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, set out on your first game drive in the Mara—an introduction to one of Africa’s richest wildlife reserves. Expect to spot elephants, zebras, giraffes, lions, and an array of plains game as the sun sets. Dinner and overnight in Masai Mara.

Morning and afternoon game drives offer a chance to seek out the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—as well as cheetahs, hyenas, and abundant birdlife. Your driver-guide will navigate through different habitats including open plains, riverine forests, and acacia woodlands. Masai Mara-Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive as you exit the Mara, keeping an eye out for any wildlife you may have missed. Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive around the shimmering alkaline lake, once world-famous for its millions of flamingos. Today the park is also celebrated for its thriving populations of both black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, and large flocks of pelicans. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or camp in Nakuru.
