Day 1

Depart Kampala early and head west toward Queen Elizabeth National Park. The scenic journey includes a stop at the Equator for photos and local crafts. Continue through rolling hills and tea plantations before arriving at your lodge near the park. If time allows, take an evening game drive to spot elephants, warthogs, and Uganda kob. The park’s open plains and dramatic landscapes are a perfect introduction to Uganda’s natural beauty. Settle into your lodge, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the next day’s adventures. Start your day with a sunrise game drive in the Kasenyi sector, known for its predator sightings, especially lions and hyenas hunting among the kob herds. After breakfast, relax at the lodge or visit a local salt mine (optional). In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, one of the park’s highlights, teeming with hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, elephants, and a wealth of birdlife. After breakfast, take a scenic drive through Queen Elizabeth’s crater lake region—dotted with volcanic formations and salt lakes. It’s a stunning area for photography and light hiking. Depart the park by late morning and head southeast to Lake Mburo National Park (approx. 4–5 hours), arriving in the afternoon. Enter the park for a short game drive en route to your lodge, where you might spot zebra, topi, or impala. Enjoy sunset views from your lodge overlooking the savannah. Dinner and overnight in or near Lake Mburo NP.

Lake Mburo, Game Drive & Walking Safari

Wake up to a beautiful sunrise over the acacia woodlands of Lake Mburo NP. Set out on a morning game drive to spot giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and various antelope species. Unlike other parks, Lake Mburo allows guided walking safaris—take one for a unique opportunity to track animals on foot, led by a ranger. Birdwatchers will appreciate the park’s richness, with over 300 species recorded. Optional afternoon boat ride on Lake Mburo for a peaceful encounter with hippos and water birds. Transfer back to Entebbe

Enjoy a final morning in the park with a walking safari, biking tour, or short game drive, depending on your lodge and time. After breakfast, check out and begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe (approx. 4–5 hours). Stop at the Equator for lunch and souvenir shopping if you didn’t on Day 1. Arrive in the afternoon or early evening and drop off at your hotel or the airport for your onward journey. Safari ends with unforgettable memories of Uganda’s wildlife, landscapes, and warm hospitality.
