Your Tanzanian adventure begins with a warm welcome at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative and transferred comfortably to your accommodation in Arusha.

After settling in, take time to relax following your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore parts of Arusha or enjoy a quiet afternoon at the hotel.

In the evening, enjoy dinner and a peaceful overnight stay in Arusha, ready for the safari adventure ahead.

Day 2

Arusha - Ndutu Area

Arusha - Ndutu Area

After breakfast, leave Arusha and journey towards the Southern Serengeti and the Ndutu area. The route takes you through the scenic landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before reaching the open plains of the southern Serengeti ecosystem.

As you approach Ndutu, the landscape becomes increasingly dominated by short-grass plains and seasonal lakes. During the calving season, these areas attract huge concentrations of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles.

Enjoy wildlife viewing along the journey and an afternoon game drive around Ndutu before settling into your accommodation. Dinner and overnight in the Ndutu area.

Full-Day Ndutu Calving Experience

Wake up early in the Ndutu wilderness and head out for a morning game drive as the plains come alive.

This is the heart of the calving season, when large numbers of wildebeest gather across the short-grass plains and newborn calves can be seen alongside their mothers. The abundance of young animals also attracts predators, creating opportunities to encounter lions, cheetahs, hyenas and other hunters.

Spend the day exploring the Ndutu plains, seasonal lakes and surrounding woodlands. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your game drive into the afternoon.

Return to camp for dinner and overnight, surrounded by the atmosphere of the Southern Serengeti.

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Ndutu area, taking in the remarkable wildlife and seasonal migration activity of the Southern Serengeti.

Later, leave Ndutu and continue towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey takes you through spectacular highland scenery, with opportunities for wildlife viewing along the way. As you approach the Ngorongoro highlands, the landscape changes dramatically, offering breathtaking views and a different side of Tanzania’s wilderness.

Arrive at your accommodation within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and settle in for the evening. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in the heart of this remarkable wildlife region, ready for the following day’s descent into the Ngorongoro Crater.

Enjoy a picnic lunch during your crater experience before ascending and continuing your journey to Arusha.

Arrive in Arusha later in the day and settle into your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
