Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly received by your private guide who will be with you throughout your safari. After a short briefing, you will head to your hotel to freshen up and enjoy a light meal. In the afternoon, you’ll set out for an exciting boat excursion to the Mabamba Swamp on the shores of Lake Victoria. This Ramsar-listed wetland is internationally renowned for being one of the best places to spot the elusive Shoebill stork in its natural habitat, alongside an array of other wetland bird species. The boat ride through the papyrus channels is serene and offers great photography opportunities. After your birding adventure, return to Entebbe and relax at your luxurious accommodation where you’ll enjoy fine dining and a peaceful night.

Day 2

After breakfast, depart Entebbe and begin your scenic drive southwest toward Lake Mburo National Park. En route, you will make a stop at the equator line for photos and a short demonstration of the Coriolis effect, as well as a chance to browse local crafts. Upon arrival at Lake Mburo, check into your luxury lodge, perched on a hillside with panoramic views of the park. After lunch, head out for your first wildlife experience in the park. Depending on your preference, you may opt for a game drive or a peaceful boat cruise on Lake Mburo, where you can spot hippos, crocodiles, African fish eagles, and perhaps even elusive leopards coming to drink. The park is also known for its large populations of zebra, eland, impala, and topi. As the sun sets, return to your lodge for a gourmet dinner under the stars.

Day 3

You will start this day early with a guided walking safari. Lake Mburo is one of the few parks in Uganda where guided bush walks are permitted. Led by an armed ranger, you’ll explore the savannah on foot, learning about animal tracks, plants, and getting closer to wildlife such as zebras, giraffes, and various antelope species. After your walk, return for a hearty breakfast before checking out. You’ll then embark on a scenic drive through the rolling hills of southwestern Uganda toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. The drive takes approximately 6–7 hours with stunning views of terraced farms and rural villages. Upon arrival in Bwindi, check into your exclusive luxury lodge nestled in the forest. Enjoy a relaxing evening, preparing mentally and physically for the next day’s gorilla trek.

Day 4

Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a detailed briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority. With the help of your guide and expert trackers, you’ll be assigned a specific gorilla family and begin your trek into the dense forest. The trek can take anywhere from 1 to 8 hours depending on the location of the gorilla group, but the effort is richly rewarded. Once you locate the gorillas, you are allowed a magical and humbling one hour in their presence while observing their behavior, taking photos, and marveling at their human-like interactions. After the trek, return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest. You may spend the afternoon enjoying a massage, relaxing by the fireplace, or sipping a drink while taking in the views of the misty forest. Dinner is served with fine wines and attentive service to complete this once-in-a-lifetime day.

After breakfast, you will visit and engage with the Batwa people, the indigenous forest dwellers of Bwindi, for a powerful cultural encounter. Here will have an opportunity to learn about their social, cultural and historical background of this indigenous society, listen to their musical sounds, watch their dances, observe their residence settings and also taste their local cusines. In the afternoon you will return back to your accommodation and relax or have leisure with the lodge amenities. Have dinner and overnight stay.
