Arusha National Park
Arusha National Park
After being welcomed to Arusha, in the morning, you will begin your safari to Arusha National Park. The entrance gate of Arusha National Park leads into the forest of inhabited blue monkeys and colourful turacos and trogon — the only place on the northern safari circuit where the acrobatic black-and-white colobus monkey is easily seen. In the midst of the forest stands the spectacular Ngurdoto Crater, whose steep rocky cliffs enclose a wide marshy floor dotted with herds of buffalo and warthog. While in Arusha National Park, you will be able to enjoy the view of Mount Meru by walking close to it for about 2 to 3 hours with an armed ranger who will be accompanying you throughout. Although elephants are uncommon in Arusha National Park, and lions are absent altogether, leopards, spotted hyenas, giraffe, buffalo, and many other animals may be seen. In the evening, you will be transferred back to Arusha in your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Venus Premier Hotel.
