Day 1

You'll be picked up at your hotel in Arusha / Moshi at dawn and drive to Lemosho Gate (2,100m). After registering with park authorities, begin your hike through dense montane forest alive with birdsong and the rustling of small animals. The gradual ascent leads you to Shira 1 Trail section, offering sweeping views toward the Shira Plateau and the distant plains below. Stop for a scenic picnic lunch in the forest or at a high viewpoint. Spend some time exploring before retracing your steps to the gate. Descend slowly to enjoy the beauty and serenity of Kilimanjaro’s lower slopes. Return to Arusha / Moshi by evening for drop-off at your hotel.
