Day 1

Our professional driver/guide will pick you up at Entebbe International Airport or from the Hotel, brief you about the tour and then embark on a scenic drive of 476 km approx. 10hrs with a stop over at the Equator and Mbarara for lunch. A journey from Kampala (KLA) to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Bwindi) involves a 9-10 hour drive through southwestern Uganda. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site in southwestern Uganda, is a dense, ancient rainforest famous for harboring nearly half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas. Beyond gorillas, this biodiversity hotspot is home to other primates, elephants, and hundreds of bird and plant species. The park offers incredible gorilla trekking opportunities alongside encounters with local Batwa culture and stunning natural scenery. You will arrive in the evening, check into your accommodation, have dinner and relax awaiting the next days adventure with Gorillas.

Day 2

After an early morning breakfast, you will head to the ranger’s post for a briefing on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park feels like stepping into a lost world, unchanged for millennia. The journey is not easy through the thick vegetation, but the sounds of a gorilla family breaking branches ahead will quicken your pulse. As you follow the trackers, the moment will come when you finally set eyes on one of our closest relatives, and all your fatigue will vanish. You will be allowed to stay with the gorillas for one hour before returning to the guesthouse to check out. You will then head to Lake Bunyonyi, known as the "Switzerland of Africa" and famous for its lush, terraced hills, 29 islands (each with its own unique story) and over 200 bird species. You will check into your lodge and if time allows you can enjoy a canoe ride at extra cost before returning for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3

After a delicious, relaxing breakfast, you'll check out of your accommodation and head to Lake Mburo National Park, which is Uganda's smallest savannah park and known for its diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife, including zebras, impalas, elands, and over 350 bird species. It's characterised by a mosaic of habitats like acacia woodland, rocky ridges and wetlands, with 5 of its 13 lakes lying within the park's borders. The scenic journey from Lake Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo National Park offers a visual feast of Uganda's diverse landscapes with a stop over in Mbarara City for Lunch. Starting with the terraced hills and deep waters of Lake Bunyonyi, the route transitions through the "Switzerland of Africa" with its rolling hills and cool climate, before arriving at the open savannah and acacia woodlands of Lake Mburo. Arrive and check into your accommodation, then choose to relax or embark on an afternoon boat cruise at an extra cost or an evening game drive and return for dinner.

Day 4

You'll have an early morning breakfast, check out of your accommodation and enjoy a morning game drive before embarking on a return journey to Entebbe arriving in the afternoon in time for your onward travels or you can choose to have a nature walk with an armed ranger or a bicycle ride at an extra cost. Along the way, take some time to stop for photo opportunities and check the various crafts and souvenirs for sale at the Equator crossing. If time allows, our driver will take you to Kampala, the capital city of Uganda, and visit the African Crafts Market, or will drop you off at the international airport for your onward travels or your booked accommodation at extra cost.
