Meet your private guide and begin your journey southwest towards the spectacular Namib Desert. Leaving Windhoek behind, travel through changing landscapes of mountain passes, open plains and peaceful desert scenery.
Stop along the way for refreshments and enjoy lunch with your guide before continuing towards the Sesriem area. Upon arrival, check in at Desert Camp or Desert Quiver Camp and settle into your comfortable room.
Spend the late afternoon relaxing and admiring the beautiful desert surroundings. As the sun begins to set, the mountains and plains are painted in warm shades of gold and orange—the perfect welcome to the Namib.

Day 2
Sossusvlei and Sesriem

Rise early for a full day exploring the remarkable landscapes of Sossusvlei with your private guide. Enter the Namib-Naukluft National Park around sunrise, when the desert is cool and the soft morning light creates wonderful photographic opportunities.
Your guide will share information about the formation of the dunes, the desert ecosystem and the specially adapted plants and animals that survive here. You may climb one of the dunes or enjoy a gentler walk across Deadvlei while taking in the extraordinary scenery. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the excursion before visiting Sesriem Canyon. This natural gorge was carved by the Tsauchab River over millions of years and can usually be explored on foot.
Return to camp during the afternoon, with time to relax and enjoy the peaceful desert atmosphere before dinner.

Day 3
Sossusvlei - Swakopmund

After breakfast, leave the Sesriem area and travel through the vast landscapes of the Namib Desert towards the Atlantic coast. The journey offers ever-changing scenery, from rugged mountains and open gravel plains to seemingly endless desert horizons.
Stop at the tiny settlement of Solitaire, where you can stretch your legs and sample its famous apple pie. Continue through the Namib-Naukluft National Park, keeping an eye out for oryx, springbok, ostriches and other desert wildlife.
Time permitting, stop at the Walvis Bay Lagoon to admire its abundant birdlife, which may include large flocks of flamingos and pelicans.
Continue to Swakopmund and check in at The Stiltz, a distinctive guesthouse built on wooden stilts overlooking the Swakop River, coastal dunes and Atlantic Ocean. The evening is at leisure to explore Swakopmund and enjoy dinner at one of its excellent restaurants.

Day 4

The adventure begins at the Walvis Bay Waterfront, where you board a comfortable catamaran for a marine cruise across the bay. Watch for playful seals, dolphins and pelicans, along with the possibility of sunfish, turtles and seasonal whale sightings.
After the cruise, continue the adventure in a specialised 4x4 vehicle. Travel into the magnificent dune landscape south of Walvis Bay towards Sandwich Harbour, where enormous dunes meet the Atlantic Ocean. Your experienced driver-guide will navigate the shifting sands while introducing you to this fragile coastal desert ecosystem.
Enjoy a delicious lunch in a scenic setting before continuing through the dunes and returning to Swakopmund during the late afternoon. The evening is free to relax or enjoy another dinner in town.

Day 5
Swakopmund - Himba - Etosha

After an early breakfast, leave the coast and begin the journey inland towards Etosha National Park. Travel through central Namibia, passing small towns, wide-open farmland and the striking landscapes surrounding the Erongo Mountains.
Enjoy lunch along the way before continuing north to Etosha. Enter the park through the southern Andersson Gate and enjoy your first wildlife sightings while travelling towards Okaukuejo Camp. Look out for giraffes, zebras, springbok, wildebeest, elephants and other animals gathering near the waterholes.
After checking in and enjoying dinner, you may also visit Okaukuejo’s famous floodlit waterhole, which can attract wildlife throughout the night.

Explore the park’s network of roads and waterholes, stopping frequently to observe the animals and enjoy photographic opportunities. Etosha is home to an impressive variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, rhinos and numerous antelope species.
The vast Etosha Pan forms a dramatic backdrop to the day’s adventure. Your guide will help spot animals, interpret their behaviour and share information about Etosha’s ecosystem.
Enjoy lunch during the excursion before continuing your safari in the afternoon. Return to Okaukuejo before sunset and enjoy an early dinner at the camp.
This evening park rangers for a guided evening game drive in an open safari vehicle. Exploring Etosha after sunset provides an entirely different experience, with the possibility of encountering nocturnal animals such as jackals, hyenas, owls and perhaps even lions or rhinos.

Enjoy an early breakfast before departing Okaukuejo for the journey south to Windhoek. Travel through Outjo, Otjiwarongo and Okahandja, stopping along the way for refreshments and lunch.
Continue directly to Hosea Kutako International Airport, where your guide will assist with your departure arrangements before saying farewell.
Your short but memorable safari comes to an end after an adventure filled with towering desert dunes, Atlantic marine life, dramatic coastal scenery and remarkable wildlife encounters in Etosha National Park.
