From Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

We will pick you up from Dar es Salaam Airport, ferry terminal, or your hotel and transfer to the train station for your journey to Morogoro. Upon arrival in Morogoro you will be met by our representative who will provide a short briefing about the safari program. After the briefing, you will continue by road from Morogoro to Mikumi National Park (approximately 1.5–2 hours drive).

Upon arrival in the park you will begin your game drive exploring Mikumi natinal park and searching for wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and predators including lions, leopards, and hyenas. The game drive continues until the evening, giving you time to fully enjoy the park. After lunch, you will have some time to relax before setting out on an afternoon-to-evening game drive, offering another opportunity to spot wildlife and enjoy the stunning African sunset.

Morning & Afternoon Game Drives – Mikumi to Dar

Start the day with an early breakfast and your second game drive when wildlife is often active. Take lunch inside the national park and have some relaxation before enjoying your final game drive in the afternoon. After the game drive begin your journey back to Dar es Salaam.

During the safari you may have the chance to see elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest, hippos, impalas, crocodiles, and many species of birds.
