On arrival to Entebbe, you will be welcomed by our safari guide and head to Jinja. The drive takes you through Kampala then on to the Nile town of Jinja, famed for the source of the Nile, water activities, and scenic river views. Spend the afternoon doing a boat ride on the Nile, maybe visit the Bujagali Falls, enjoy dinner overlooking the water. Overnight in Jinja to rest up for the journey ahead.

Day 2
Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After breakfast, depart Jinja heading north to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. This is Uganda’s only rhino sanctuary where you can do a walking safari and see rhinos in the wild. Spend mid morning to early afternoon here. Then continue toward Murchison Falls National Park, arriving by evening. Depending on timing, you may catch a sunset game drive or a river walk, or simply nestle into your lodge near Paraa or another lodge inside/close to Murchison.

Day 3

This day is for exploring Murchison Falls. Early morning game drives to see elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, giraffes etc. Then take a launch (boat cruise) on the Victoria Nile to the base of the Falls to experience their power and beauty, spot hippos, crocodiles, abundant birdlife. You will also have the opportunity to pay a visit to the top of the Falls for views. Later, you will drive back to the lodge and spend the evening resting at the lodge, while enjoying sundowner or lodge amenities.

Day 4

Chimpanzee Trekking in Budongo Forest
After breakfast, you will depart for Budongo Forest Reserve, which is part of the greater Murchison Falls Conservation area. Budongo is a huge mahogany forest with excellent chimpanzee tracking (Kaniyo Pabidi, Busingiro sites), superb birding, and lush forest walks. Spend the day tracking chimps, watching birds, enjoying the forest ambience. Overnight in Budongo or back toward Murchison and rest at your lodge.

Day 5
Community Visit and Drive to Entebbe
Community Visit and Drive to Entebbe
After an early morning breakfast, you will drive to Pakwach for a Community Visit, after the interaction with the local people, you drive back to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will check out of your accommodation and proceed on to Entebbe. In the evening you will have a tour across Entebbe town and do last minute shopping.

Day 6
Shoebill Trekking in Mabamba Swamp and Departure
Shoebill Trekking in Mabamba Swamp and Departure
After breakfast, you will spend the morning in Mabamba Swamp while birds are most active. Enjoy a guided boat trip through papyrus fringed channels, spotting the Shoebill and other marsh birds. After lunch, return to Entebbe for final relaxation or botanical gardens visit if time permits, then transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
