Day 2

After breakfast, your will check out of your accommodation and drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. On arrival, you will enjoy a guided rhino tracking experience on foot, coming within safe distance of these powerful animals in open savannah bush. After the trek, you will continue north to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest protected area. Cross the Nile by ferry and check into your luxury riverside lodge overlooking hippo-filled waters. In the late afternoon, head out on your first game drive or sunset boat cruise spotting elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and possibly lions along the riverbanks. Return for dinner with views over the wild landscape.

This morning you will journey south through the Ishasha sector, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions. A game drive here might reveal lions resting on fig tree branches, as well as large herds of Uganda kob and topi. After your safari, continue to the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After breakfast at your lodge, you will head to Bwindi National Park headquarters for a briefing. Afterwards, you’ll venture into the dense forest in small groups, led by trackers and rangers. The trek can take 2 to 6 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family, but once found, you’ll spend a full hour observing them. This is a humbling and emotional encounter. Later return to your lodge to freshen up. In the afternoon hours, you may visit a local Batwa community or take a nature walk to reflect and relax.

Flight to Entebbe and Departure
Flight to Entebbe and Departure
After breakfast, you’ll transfer to Kihihi or Kisoro airstrip for a scheduled domestic flight back to Entebbe (or return by road if preferred). Depending on your departure time, you may have a chance to visit the craft markets, botanical gardens, or relax by Lake Victoria. You’ll then be dropped at Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight, ending your journey with unforgettable memories of Uganda’s wild heart.
