Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda, you will be picked up by our company representative from Africa Horizon Safaris and transferred to your booked hotel. Check in, freshen up and prepare for dinner. Overnight stay as indicated above.

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
You will be picked up from the hotel at 8:00 am (after breakfast) and transferred to Murchison Falls National Park, with an en-route lunch and a visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Driving time is 5 hours. There is also the option to fly, but you will miss the rhino sanctuary. Proceed to the park. You can visit the top of the falls on this day or on day 3. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.

Game Drive and Launch Cruise

On this day, wake up early and have breakfast at 6:30 am. Your driver and the ranger guide will pick you up from the lodge to start your game drive at 7:00 am. During the drive, you will see many animals, including lions, buffalo, giraffes, elephants, antelopes, waterbucks and birds.
After the game drive, at around 11:40 am, drive back to the lodge, relax, freshen up and have lunch as you prepare for the afternoon boat cruise. From the boat, you will be able to see various Nile crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes and elephants along the banks of the Nile, as well as beautiful birds, some singing in the trees such as bee-eaters, coloured kingfishers, the shoebill stork and many others. The boat ride will take you to the bottom of the Murchison Falls. On arrival, you will be able to clearly see the mighty waterfalls. You can opt to hike to the top of the falls.

Day 4
Transfer to Kibale National Park

Drive to Kibale National Park (5 to 6 hours). At 8 am, after breakfast, drive to Kibale National Park. Arrive at the lodge between 1 and 2 pm and have lunch.
You have the option to visit Bigodi Wetland, rich in biodiversity and scenic beauty. A 4.5 km-long walk will take you through this important wildlife corridor in Kibale Forest and will take up to 3 hours.
The “home of the great blue turaco” is a real bird watcher’s paradise. This wonderful place shelters over 200 species of birds, including hornbills, turacos, parrots and cranes. Furthermore, the sanctuary is home to 8 species of primates, including the black-and-white colobus monkey, red colobus monkey, red-tailed monkey, grey-cheeked mangabey, olive baboon, L’hoest’s monkey, vervet monkey and the blue monkey.
The swamp is also a haven for other mammals such as sitatungas, bushbucks and otters. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.

After breakfast, between 6 and 7 am, you will transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will start the search for chimpanzees. When you encounter them, you will spend an hour with them.
Later, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park (drive time of 2 to 3 hours). Check in and have lunch. You can relax the rest of the afternoon. Alternatively, you can go for an evening game drive later. You will see many animals, especially the hippos grazing on land. You will also see antelopes, elephants and buffaloes.

Day 6

At 5 am, you will go on an early-morning game drive for about 4 hours, then return for breakfast. Lunch from half past midday.
In the afternoon, a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel offers tourists a safe, close encounter with other wildlife species that visit the riverbanks, such as Cape buffalo, African elephants, monitor lizards, Uganda kobs, defassa waterbucks, common elands and topis, among others. Return for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

After breakfast, at 8 am, transfer to Bwindi National Park (4 hours). En route, do a game drive in the Ishasha sector to see tree-climbing lions. Enjoy an en-route lunch and relax for the rest of the afternoon. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Have an early breakfast at 6 am, then go for gorilla tracking. The briefing is at 7 am, and tracking starts at 8 am. The time taken depends on the gorillas' movement. You will spend one hour with the gorillas. Lunch will either be a packed lunch or a hot lunch at the lodge, depending on when you finish.
In the afternoon, enjoy the Batwa cultural entertainment. The experience takes place outside the park, in an old-growth forest adjacent to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Park. The Batwa experience begins with a nature walk and a hike through the forest, seeing it in a new way through the eyes of the original people of the forest. Learn how they hunted the small animals they used for food, what things they gathered and how traps and nets were used. Return for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

After breakfast at about 7 am, drive to Lake Mburo National Park (4 to 5 hours). You will arrive in time for lunch.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Wake up early and have time to take a warm cup of tea before you head for a game drive through the park in search of game like zebras, hippos, crocodiles, elands, antelopes, impalas and a variety of bird species.
After the game drive, you will start your journey to Entebbe/Kampala (4 hours). Stop at the equator for photography and lunch. Drop-off will be at the hotel or airport.
