Day 1

Your journey begins with a drive from Arusha to the Marangu Gate, where you'll complete the necessary registration and preparations before starting your trek. The trail takes you through the lush rainforest that blankets the lower slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro a vibrant and scenic route filled with natural beauty.
As you hike for 4 to 5 hours, keep an eye out for wildlife, including the blue colobus monkey and a variety of colorful bird species. The trail is rich in biodiversity and offers a peaceful introduction to the mountain.
Tonight, you’ll stay at Mandara Hut, a comfortable rest stop equipped with solar lighting and flush toilets. For those with extra energy, a short walk to Maundi Crater offers panoramic views of Northern Tanzania and even into Kenya.
Throughout the trek, our experienced guide, John, will share fascinating insights into the mountain’s history, vegetation zones, and ecological significance—making your climb both enriching and memorable.

Day 2

You'll start the day early, as a full day of trekking lies ahead. The trail begins in the rainforest and gradually transitions into the open landscapes of the heath and moorland zone. As you ascend, the vegetation thins, and the air becomes cooler and crisper. If the skies are clear, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of Kibo and Mawenzi—two of Kilimanjaro’s three volcanic conesrising majestically in the distance.
As you gain altitude, it's common to begin feeling the effects of the elevation, so remember to pace yourself and stay hydrated. Your day ends at Horombo Hut, where you'll enjoy a hot dinner and a well-deserved rest in preparation for the next stage of the climb.

Day 3

Today marks another significant step in your journey as you make your way to Kibo Hut, your final base before the summit attempt. The trail takes you through the stark and dramatic landscape of the alpine desert, with its sparse vegetation and sweeping views.
Climbing nearly 1,000 meters in elevation, you’ll arrive at Kibo Hut by late afternoon. This is where you’ll rest, recharge, and mentally prepare for the challenging push to the summit in the early hours of the next day. It’s important to stay well-hydrated during dinner and get as much rest as possible. Tomorrow, you’ll begin your ascent to the Roof of Africa.

Day 4

Just after midnight our professional guides will wake you up with a cup of tea and a light meal for energy as you dress and get ready for the adventure ahead.
You will be hiking in pitch darkness for 5 to six hours, so take it easy and you will make it to Stella Point a few hours before sunrise. From here, there will be an additional two hours of extreme hiking before you achieve your ultimate objective: Uhuru Peak.
Standing at 5985 meters, you will be able to experience an amazing sunrise and be absorbed in a spectacular panoramic view. Congratulations, you have made it to the roof of Africa.
You will now climb back down to Horombo Hut via Kibo Hut. This is due to be one of the longest, most tiring days of your life.

Day 5

Today is a day of joy, as you enjoy your last breakfast on the Mountain before climbing down to Marangu Gate. It’s almost 19 19-kilometer walk down to Marangu Gate, but it will be a lot easier compared to climbing up the mountain.
Upon arrival at the gate, you will have an opportunity to celebrate with your guides, potters, and the cook for their hard work and offer them tips.
Later on collect your certificate of completion. Your driver will drive you back to your hotel in Arusha/Moshi for a good well-deserved rest.
