Descend 600 meters into the crater floor, where grasslands, forests, and soda lakes provide a unique habitat for a wide variety of species. Throughout the day, explore the crater’s diverse ecosystems on game drives in search of the Big Five: elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, and the critically endangered black rhino. The open plains are also home to hyenas, jackals, wildebeest, zebras, and abundant birdlife including flamingos and crowned cranes.

Enjoy a picnic lunch near the Hippo Pool, a scenic spot where you can relax while watching hippos wallow and birds skim the water’s surface.

After a full day of wildlife viewing in this ancient, awe-inspiring landscape, ascend the crater walls in the late afternoon and return to your lodge.

Day 3

After an early breakfast, depart your lodge and begin the breath taking drive from the highlands of Ngorongoro toward the vast, wildlife-rich plains of Serengeti National Park. As you leave the cool, misty rim of the crater behind, you’ll travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing Maasai villages and volcanic landscapes that give way to the wide open savannahs of the Serengeti. Upon entering the Central Serengeti (Seronera), begin your first real Serengeti game drive en route to your camp or lodge. This region is famous for its dense population of big cats, especially lions and cheetahs, and resident wildlife throughout the year.
Arrive at your accommodation in the late afternoon. Enjoy a warm welcome, a delicious dinner, and fall asleep to the distant roars and calls of the wild.

You will have an early breakfast then set off for a full-day game drive, exploring deeper into different zones of the park, depending on wildlife movements and seasonal activity. From the Seronera Valley’s year-round water sources, perfect for spotting leopards and elephants, to open grasslands teeming with wildebeest, zebras, and predators—every turn offers something new. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, surrounded by the raw beauty and sounds of the wild.
In the late afternoon, return to your camp with time to relax, enjoy a sundowner, and swap stories around the campfire. The Serengeti has its own rhythm, and today, you’ve lived it fully.

After an early breakfast, you will embark on a journey back to Arusha. You will be driven back via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Karatu, retracing your journey through the Great Rift Valley with picnic lunch en route (approx. 7–9 hours by road). Upon arrival in Arusha, you'll be transferred to your hotel or the airport for your onward journey.
As your safari ends, carry with you unforgettable memories of roaring lions, wide open skies, and the rhythm of life on the African plains.
