Nairobi to Tsavo West

Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Nairobi to Tsavo West National Park. The landscape shifts along the way to the wild African bush, a foretaste of your safari adventure. Upon arrival at the indulgent Severin Safari Camp, set within the park, you'll unwind into your snug tented accommodation. Afternoon is devoted to your first spine-tingling game drive through the diverse landscape of Tsavo West, which features volcanic outcrops and the Mzima Springs. Keep an eye for the "Big Five" lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo and giraffes, impalas, and huge quantities of birdlife. Enjoy a delicious meal surrounded by the rumble of the African night at Severin

Full day Tsavo West

The day is spent in a full tour of Tsavo West National Park. Your game drives involve the famous Mzima Springs, a sparkling oasis where you have the choice of viewing hippos and crocodiles from an underwater observation room. We also feature the tour to the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary, a unique opportunity to view the critically endangered black rhino in its natural habitat. The dramatic landscape, including ancient lava flows and the Shetani Lava Flow, provides a breathtaking backdrop for your wildlife adventure. Return to Severin Safari Camp for a second magical evening under the stars.

Tsavo west to Tsavo East

After a final morning game drive in Tsavo West, we take an interesting drive to Tsavo East National Park. The change of parks offers a contrasting change of landscape and wildlife. Upon arrival, you will be accommodated at Sentrim Tsavo, strategically positioned to offer good game viewing. Afternoon is taken up with an action-packed game drive in Tsavo East, renowned for its rolling open countryside and mythical "red dust elephants" a sheer marvel to see as they roll around in the park's iron-rich earth. Keep an eye out for lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and massive buffalo herds. Dinner and overnight at Sentrim Tsavo.

A thrilling day awaits you in Tsavo East National Park. Our longer game drives will take us sweeping across the expanses of the park, renowned for their great herds of elephants and the maned Tsavo lions. We will visit prime locations like Aruba Dam, a vital water hole that attracts a diverse blend of wildlife, and Mudanda Rock, a natural dam that is another favorite haunt of the elephants. It's a day packed with great opportunities for super photo moments and close encounters with a wonderful diversity of species.
