After an early breakfast at your campsite in Mto wa Mbu, you’ll set off on a scenic journey toward the legendary Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival in the Serengeti, you’ll dive straight into an afternoon game drive across its vast, golden plains. This is prime territory for spotting the Big Five lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino as well as cheetahs, hyenas, and immense herds of wildebeest and zebras. If your visit coincides with the Great Migration, you may witness thousands of animals on the move, a truly awe-inspiring spectacle of nature.

After breakfast, depart for a morning game drive in the Serengeti, venturing deeper into its vast plains and abundant wildlife. Following the drive, enjoy a relaxing lunch near the Serengeti Gate, surrounded by the natural sights and sounds of the bush.
In the afternoon, begin your scenic journey toward Karatu, passing through the Ngorongoro Highlands. As you ascend, the landscape transitions from open grasslands to lush, green hills, offering beautiful views and occasional wildlife sightings en route.
By late afternoon, arrive in the charming town of Karatu, set among rolling farmland and forested slopes. Settle into your accommodation, enjoy dinner, and unwind in a peaceful atmosphere, reflecting on the day’s exploration before a restful overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, your safari continues with a descent into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As you drop nearly 600 meters to the crater floor, you enter a unique, self-contained ecosystem teeming with wildlife and dramatic scenery.
This vast natural amphitheater offers some of the finest game viewing in Africa and is one of the best places to encounter the rare black rhino. You may also spot lions, elephants, and large pods of hippos. The crater’s lakes, grasslands, and wetlands support an impressive variety of birdlife, from elegant flamingos and storks to geese and birds of prey, making it a paradise for photographers and bird enthusiasts.
At midday, enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch near Ngoitoktok Swamp, where hippos wallow in the shallows and birds move gracefully through the reeds. In the afternoon, you’ll begin the scenic drive back to Arusha, with drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
