After breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up, marking the start of your safari adventure. You'll set off on a scenic drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, a journey of approximately 3 hours.

Named after the Tarangire River that winds through its landscape, this park becomes a vital water source for wildlife during the dry season. Tarangire is especially renowned for its large elephant herds, iconic baobab trees, and the elusive tree-climbing African pythons. Covering around 2,850 square kilometers, it offers rich and diverse game viewing.

Enjoy a full day of wildlife exploration with a picnic lunch overlooking the river an ideal spot to take in the scenery and stretch your legs. As the sun begins to set, you’ll head to your lodge or campsite for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, you'll depart from Tarangire and head toward Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy game viewing along the way as you travel through this richly diverse region, keeping an eye out for wildlife in the changing landscapes. As you journey onward, the scenery opens up dramatically revealing the vast, iconic plains of the Serengeti.

Derived from the Kiswahili word "Siringet," meaning "endless plains," the Serengeti spans an impressive 18,000 square kilometers and is home to over two million large animals. This includes more than a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and countless Thomson’s gazelles. You'll arrive in time for an evening game drive, soaking in the beauty of the landscape and its inhabitants before heading to your campsite or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Today begins with an early morning game drive before breakfast, giving you the best chance to witness wildlife at its most active. The cool, quiet hours of dawn often bring predators on the move and grazing herds in the open, all beneath the glow of a stunning African sunrise an unforgettable sight over the endless savannah. After this magical experience, you’ll return to camp for a hearty brunch and some rest.

In the afternoon, your journey continues to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area often referred to as the 8th Natural Wonder of the World. The Ngorongoro Crater, with its 2,000-foot-high walls and 102 square miles of floor, is a natural sanctuary teeming with life. It’s home to almost every species of East African wildlife, including the rare black rhino. Within this unique ecosystem, you’ll find rivers, swamps, a flamingo-filled soda lake, open plains, and lush forests.

After breakfast, you’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive in one of the most wildlife-rich areas on the planet. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the best places in Tanzania to spot the critically endangered black rhino, as well as prides of lions including impressive black-maned males. The crater’s diverse habitats support an array of wildlife, from colorful flamingos and water birds along the soda lake to leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and a wide variety of antelope and smaller mammals.

As the game drive concludes, you’ll ascend from the crater and begin your journey back to Arusha. Depending on your travel plans, you’ll be dropped off either at your hotel or directly at the airport, marking the end of an unforgettable safari through Tanzania’s most iconic landscapes.
